She approaches it with her hands held out in a peaceful gesture. "Malakai, I mean you no harm. I want to help you, to understand why you're causing such destruction, I want to be here for you, tell me, Please.
Malakia looks down and to everyone's suprise, the fierce gaze softens, and it regards her with a hint of curiosity. Lyra senses a deep pain and anguish emanating from the dragon, a sense of being torn apart by conflicting forces
"Thorne's darkness", Lyra whispers, comprehension dawning.
"You're a manifestation of his inner struggle, aren't you?"
Malakai nods, its great head bobbing up and down. Lyra continues, her voice gentle and soothing. I know Thorne's pain, his fear of losing himself to the darkness.
But i also know his strength, his capacity for love and compassion.
Slowly,Malakai's fierce energy begins to dissipate, replaced by sense of longing and Yearning. Lyra reaches out, her magic flowing into the dragon, and begins to sing a soft ,melodious song, sounding deep but only them could clearly understand.
This music resonates deep within Malakai's soul, calming the beast and queting its rage, for the first time, Lyra sees a glimmer of Thorne's true self within the dragon's eyes.
