Chapter 12

In the early hours of the morning, Elena came to the basement to give Clare food. She stole the key from Anna's room as she was sleeping. As she opened the door, she was shocked to see Clare lying still on the floor.

'Clare wake up, mummy brought you some food' said Elena as she went closer to her daughter. Clare was unresponsive so she touched her body and found it freezing cold

'Clare!, Clare!!! Please wake up!'

'What's wrong now, why are you screaming so early in the morning' demanded Adam Collins, Clare's step dad and Elena's husband.

'It's Clare, she's not moving. Please help me carry her out to the car. Let's take her to the hospital' pleaded Elena with tears and worry all over her face.

Adam went out to call Mathew to carry her out.

'Carry her to the car Mathew. Hurry up' screamed Elena.

One hour later

'How's she doing now doctor' asked Elena

' She's better now. She will regain consciousness soon'

'Can I see her now'

'She needs to rest now'

'Okay doctor'

'Sorry to invade your privacy but can I know what led her to this condition?

'She just slept in a cold room doctor' replied Elena in a suspecting manner.

'If you say so'

The doctor returned to his office to meet up with his visitor.
