My mum left me alone to rest for a while but I just couldn't rest as I had a lot on my mind. I barely spent thirty minutes alone when my grandma barged into the room with Ava.

'How are you feeling now, you ingrate.' asked my grandma with a grin on her face

'This is just the tip of the iceberg for you Clare. You don't even know all the things I could do to you and that mum of yours if you don't listen to me. You and your mum owe my family your lives for all that we have done for you so let that be at the back of your mind each time you feel like disobeying me. You can run Clare but you can never hide from me and if you ever try to run away again, i will make sure to chop those little legs of yours off. I own you. You better heal soon because your engagement is in a few days' threatened Anna before storming out of the room.

'I hope you understood all the words my grandma said to you. I wonder who ever came up with the idea of running away. It must be that nosey friend of yours. It was quite easy to get her to speak up you know. We just had to take that poor dad of hers and torture him a little bit. You should have seen her face when we showed her the video. She looked like she saw a ghost. Hahaha. That would teach her to mind her business next time'

'Your engagement is in a few days time so you shouldn't look as ugly as you do now. Oh, I seemed to have forgotten that your groom is ugly too. You both are perfect for one another.

It took me time to process all that I have been told. I can't believe Emily went through all this just to protect me. I put Emily's dad in danger all because of my stupid decision to run away.
