Chapter 4

Three months later...

It's been three months since I got here and I have to say that life here has been nothing but a bliss. The town is so beautiful and accommodating and the people here are so kind. I have been staying with Emily's aunty Helen and her daughter Lily. Helen is an amazing woman and I can't help but love her more everyday. She treats me like her own and supports me when necessary. Lily is just a carbon copy of her and both of us being agemates makes our relationship much better.

'Good morning aunt Helen' I greet aunt Helen as she's making her famous breakfast of eggs and pancakes.

'Good morning Clare, how was your sleep'

'Quite comfortable, thanks for asking'

'You're always welcome dear, come have breakfast before you head out to work'

I munch down my breakfast with pure joy before washing up and heading out to work.

'Bye aunt, I will see you in the evening'

'Bye dear, have a great day'

'I will try my very best' I reply before heading out. I work at a small restaurant in the next street so there's no need to use a cab.

'Good morning Clare' greets my co-worker Charlotte.

'Morning Charl'

'You're surprisingly late today, what's up'

'I'm just late by 10 minutes Charl'

'I know but that's not like you lol'

I get to work immediately before my grumpy boss arrives. He can be such a pain in the ass sometimes.

'Stop making fun of me Charl'
