I got out of the shower to brush my teeth. Julian walked into the bathroom and noticed I was dressed in a towel. He came close to me and I could feel my heart beat racing. He took his shirt of, his body flushed with mine.
“Done so soon?” His face with a smile.
I nodded my head because my mouth was filled with a toothbrush and toothpaste. He walked to turn on the shower and took his pants off. He was so tall and sexy. He had a beautiful body to match his beautiful eyes and smile.
“You look sexy even while brushing your teeth.” He stated before he got into the shower.
I fixed my hair in with a giant clip and called it a day. I dried it as much as I could with the towel. I went to the closet and grabbed a floral summer dress that went to my knees with a small slit. I walked back into the bathroom to put some blush and mascara on, then some earrings. Julian stepped out of the shower looking at me, his purple eyes staring me up and down. I giggled at him.
“You’re the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.” He said, truly taking me in, unconcerned with the rest of the world.
“Thank you handsome.” I smiled at him as he walked closer to me in just a towel. “You’re the most beautiful man I have ever seen.” I blushed as he grabbed my neck to pull me in for a passionate kiss. My hands freely roamed against his damp body and I felt the arousal begin to form on him and myself.
“Baby, don’t start something you can’t finish.” He said smirking.
“Who said I can’t finish?” I smirked back. Desire took over and I wanted him. I wanted him to want me. I still didn’t understand why, but I wanted him to dominate over me for the rest of my life.
His hand slowly moved the strap of my sundress to my shoulder. His lips crashed against mine and I inhaled his masculine smell. We were interrupted by a loud roar downstairs. Julian fixed my shoulder strap and lifted me off the counter. He ran to his closet to put clothes on.
“Stay here.” He ordered.
“No Julian. I will not stay here.” I stammered.
“You will do as I say.” He spoke as he quickly left the room.
I followed him because I would not take orders from him Alpha or not. As I approached the staircase I heard roaring. It was obvious he was angry. Julian was already down the stairs trying to get the beast to calm down; ordering others to calm him down.
The wolf was at the front door clawing and scratching at it. The frosted glass would not break as he kept trying to break in.
“I cannot help you if you do not come to me in human form!” Julian roared back.
I saw the wolf transform into his human, continuing to break the door. Julian signaled for one of his pack members to open the door and giving him some clothes. I continued to stand by the fence on the top of the stairs, observing what was happening, contemplating if I wanted to hide in the room as Julian suggested, or rather ordered.
The man put the clothes on and barged in through the door. He was panting like he just ran miles and stopped at nothing to get here; not even to breathe.
“WHERE IS SHE? TELL ME RIGHT NOW!” The unknown man yelled breathlessly.
“I DO NOT TAKE ORDERS FROM YOU. CALM DOWN NOW.” Julian roared in a powerful tone that seemed to make the man whimper a little.
“AND I DO NOT ACCEPT THE LACK OF LOYALTY YOU AND YOUR PACK HAS PROVIDED!” The unknown man yelled back at him. He was upset, that much was apparent, but who is he talking about.
Julian calmed down to collect his thoughts. I think he sensed me by the look of his body language.
“We both agreed we would notify you when the time is right.” He calmly spoke to the stranger who is still panting and being held back by 2 other pack members. I attempted to slowly walk back as this was none of my business and remain unnoticed, but I was unsuccessful.
“AVA! Ava is that you?” The strange man shouted. I took a step down the stairs to get a better look at who that might be. How does this man know my name? Where does he come from? Julian had a worried, but warning look on his face. It was completely silent in the airy palace. The only sound came from my sneakers to each step.
“Ava, no. Please baby go back to the room.” Julian pleaded.
“Baby? That wasn’t apart of the plan! Is she your mate now? Ava this man cannot be your mate.” The stranger yelled once more causing me to take a step back. I was angry now. This random barges into a peaceful home, disrespects the alpha, then has the audacity to tell me who my mate can or cannot be? Who the hell does he think he is?
I walked a few steps down, “And who the hell do you think you are to tell me who my mate can and cannot be? You walked in here raising hell, disrespecting an Alpha and you think you can get away with that. I may not be Luna, but you will respect a home that is not yours!” I said in the powerful tone I only discovered I had yesterday.
Julian had a proud smile on his face. It was obvious he was saying that is my mate in his head. I wanted to smile, but this was not the time. The strange man had shock written all over his face and knelt down before I reached the bottom step. All of the men did, with exception to Julian, of course. They were ready to accept me as Luna though Julian and I had not mated.
“Who is this man Julian? Why does he ask for me? I do not want lies, just the truth.” I confidently said.
The strange man was quiet when he was once yelling. He was waiting for Julian to tell me the truth.
“Get dressed, be down here in 10. Ava, with me please.” He spoke to the strange man and I followed him grabbing his hand. He took me to the seating area. I guess this is where all conversations happen because I seem to be here for serious situations a lot. I said nothing. I looked down to fix the shoe laces on my sneakers. Julian went to grab coffees for the both of us.
“You don’t usually like to go in your office for meetings?” I asked while grabbing the mug full of coffee he gave me.
“I just want to you be comfortable.” He said before taking a sip.
“Julian I can leave if you’d like me to. I just wanted to make sure you’re okay.” I said softly, eyeing the coffee in the mug.
“Baby you were beautiful out there. Everyone knelt before you that is a sign of respect and acceptance. You’re royalty and they all know that. I think you should be here for this.” He was rubbing my knee in hopes of comforting me and it was working. I blushed a little at how I reacted earlier. Maybe I was slightly embarrassed.
“You don’t have to be embarrassed, Ava.” Julian read my mind. “Are you ready?” He asked. He grabbed my hand and I braced myself to meet the stranger that interrupted our perfect morning. Who is he and why did he ask for me?
The strange man took a seat in the couch across from me. He was cleaned up and dressed now. It was obvious he held power, but not nearly as much as Julian. I observed him and his familiarities. There was a burn on his neck. His eyes were blue like mine and his hair was jet black, like mine, but that could mean nothing.
I crossed my leg so that he would understand I am impatient. I was dreading going back to the castle, but I knew I needed to go and I truly didn’t have time for this. I wanted to know who this man was and why he demanded to see me.
“She’s waiting.” Julian spoke for me. He placed his hand on my leg. The stranger was growing angry by Julian’s touch. I couldn’t understand why and there was too much silence. He continued to observe me like he was waiting for me to waiver, but I would and will not.
“You don’t recognize me?” He finally spoke, his eyes not leaving mine.
“I do not. Who are you and why did you demand to see me?” I spoke firmly.
“My name is Michael Whitlock. First son of Andrew and Alvara Whitlock. Alpha of The Enchanted Warriors. I have reason to believe you are Ava Whitlock. Daughter of Andrew and Alvara Whitlock and my sister who has been missing for 15 years.” He said in a matter-of-fact tone.
Shock clouded my judgment as I dropped the now empty mug on the floor. My face turned pale and I lost consciousness.
“I told you she wasn’t ready.” Julian said to Michael before the room went dark.
