When I Find You

Chapter 12: The Garden

    We arrived to a beautiful garden maze. Julian came and opened the passenger door for me. I stepped out of the car and was greeted by a beautiful floral scent. He grabbed my hand and I followed him through the maze. We giggled and smiled through the beautiful maze. 

    “What are we doing here?” I giggled. 

    “Well, I knew that when I found you, I wanted to take you here and tell you how in love with you I was.” Julian smiled.

    “In love with me?” I asked?

    “Yes Ava. Although you do not remember me, I’ve known you for a long time. I am willing to wait for you to fall in love with me.” He paused to get down on his knee. “I promise to love you a lifetime and the next one continuing so on and so forth. I give this to you as a promise.” And then he reached in his pocket to pull out a ring. 

    “Julian” I gasped. 

    “I know it’s soon, but if I am to mate with you, the bond will forever be unbreakable.” He said easing my thoughts. “Will you accept this as a gift? Will you accept this as a promise?”

    Julian is right. The bond will be forever unbreakable and I know in the end this will save us. I decided I would follow my heart and then the voice came again. Mine. It said. “Yes Julian, I accept your promise.”

    His face lit up with joy. I knelt before him allowing him to put the ring on my finger. Apart of me felt like this was all a dream and I was too afraid to wake up. I kissed him passionately letting him take over my thoughts. I felt like I belonged right here. I knew I had obligations and I knew I had to leave, but right now I’d enjoy this moment with my mate. 

    “Are you ready?” He asked.

    “Yes, I am ready Julian.”

    We were still kneeling in the garden. He kissed me passionately and I kissed him back. His hand were sending pleasurable waves through my body. He kissed my neck and moved his way up to my ear, working his way to behind it. He paused for a second to signal my consent and I nodded. I closed my eyes and leaned my head back; his hand supporting me. I was ready. 

    He bit behind my ear and I felt the immensity I have only read in books. His other hand was stroking the inside of my leg and outline of my panties. 

    “Julian.” I moaned. He bit a little harder and I felt it come rushing back. 

    I was running through the forest. Trying to follow Michael. I heard my name being called before I blacked out from the tree branch hitting me. When I awoke there was a woman in red rescuing me. Queen Vivian, but that was before my mother put a spell on me. Making me a regular girl to live with Queen Vivian. She gave me the key to our powerful family. I hold all of the magic my mother carried and when the day comes I will be Luna to The Enchanted Warriors. Her plan was to get our packs to align as their alliance was meant to be joined when the time came. The fire I ran through to get to my family was started by Queen Vivian since she felt threatened by the power my family possessed. I remember running hearing ‘Queen Vivian has come. She has come for us!’ while people were screaming around. Julian was there like he said. I followed him to the woods, but I lost him. We were playing before the fire began. All I could think about that day was finding my family. 

    The memories from the weekends Julian and I spent together came back. We were best friends growing up. He always picked on me, but he also always helped me get a bandaid when I was hurt. He used to kiss my bandaids after and I would pretend it made the cut feel better. He taught me how to climb a tree and shoot an arrow. He was always there for me, and I’m thankful he is there for me today. Mine. I thought. 

    I opened my eyes, unsure of how long they have been closed for. Julian was hugging me close to him. I inhaled his scent and moved a little. He let me go a little and I looked into his purple eyes. 

    “I think I have a boo boo” I giggled pointing to my forehead.

    I could tell I shocked him, but then he gave me the biggest smile and adorable laugh. “I don’t have a bandaid, but I have a kiss.” He spoke through his smile. 

    “I remember everything Julian.” I stated with so much joy in my voice.

    “I felt the power you posses, Ava. I feel it now.”

    “I have no idea what to do with it. I need to use the spell to keep me normal for as long as possible.” I said starting to worry. 

    “Michael.” We both said.
