It had been more than a week and the owner of the green pocket purse didn't come back. Luckily, there was an ID card inside. Initially, I overlooked it and waited for the owner to retrieve it. However, she did not show up. "You drove for nearly two hours just to give her that purse? Why are you so concerned? "You could have called her, right?" Alex, the blonde-haired guy, asked. "Yes, but I was going to meet you anyway, so I decided to return her personally." "Ohooooo," Alex smirked, "There is so much concern. Why? "Are you into her?" "No," Rahas responded quickly and firmly. "I am not sure, maybe she is a doctor who works hard." "How do you know she is a hard worker?" Did she impress you, or what? Alex did not stop there and kept playing, "Are you falling, my boy?" Rahas rolled his eyes at his stupid friend and shook his head in disbelief as he looked out the window at the golden leaves falling. "Crazy." "Are not you coming to the reunion?" I am not going to hear your lame excuses again. "Rahas, do not miss out on the fun," Alex asked. Rahas put down the green purse and sipped his iced tea. "I prefer not to meet them. I know I am not very close to them. "I do not like being in the crowd, man." Rahas said, taking a bite of the blueberry cheesecake waffles. "I know you are a chef. Can you please stop sniffing and tasting the food like that? "Just eat; it is good," Alex said. "I can not help it. By the way, I can make it better than this; the blueberry flavor is the only thing coming through, and I am not getting anything else. Though not bad, it is not particularly good either. Why didn't we meet in my restaurant? "Why call here?" "Well, I asked you to come out of your kitchen. Don't you get bored and tired working there? Alex questioned the man, who appeared to have lost interest in eating. Rahas gave a firm response, "I am doing the job I like." Alex sighed upon hearing the most painful statement. He likes his job. In this era of race and chaos, we often lose interest in our jobs, believing that we do not want to do them but must eventually become financially stable. But Rahas was not among them; he enjoyed cooking. Coming from a middle-class family, he witnessed his mother working as a fast food vendor. His father worked as a factory worker. He recalls his mother telling him, "Food is sacred, the nectar of immortality." Food is more than just what you eat; it is also about how you nourish your soul. "Wait, I will come after I have used the restroom." Rahas was scrolling his phone when he heard a yelling noise. Terrified, he alerted and noticed Reet standing in front of him. "What are you doing here?" "This is the women's restroom." "Doctor, you are in the wrong place. It is the men's bathroom." Rahas clarified, displaying the male sign on the door. The embarrassed Reet turned to the other side to save her face, but it was too late. Scolding herself for her stupidity, she wished she could bury herself alive. "Why did you have to embarrass yourself in front of him among all the people? Argh, my mouth. Seriously" Rahas looked at her with disbelief, "This girl." "Could you please get out? I have to use the restroom, and you have been intruding." "What did you mean?" "Could you use the verb more appropriately?" "I can see how the sentence fits in this situation. "You are still here; how can I use the restroom?" The pressure down was frustrating for the calm-headed person. Rahas stood there with his legs crossed, and before he could say anything else, they heard other people approach them. "Oh shit." Please do not say anything in front of them. It is very embarrassing." claiming that she ran inside a cubicle and hide. "She should have said it then." He fell silent as two men entered. After doing his business, he waited for them to leave. "Come out." "They are gone." Rahas knocked on the door. "You helped me? Thank you. "I had no idea you were considerate," Reet said. "What do you mean?" Forget it. You nearly made me a pervert. "You women yell so loud!" Rahas spoke about the universal women's problem. Reet scoffed at him, "I told you it was a mistake." "When did you?" You didn't. You argued. And I helped you, didn't I? But I did not hear you say "sorry." "SORRY," Reet stomped her foot on him angrily before walking out the door. "Argh. What a way to apologize. "It hurts," Rahas muttered under his breath and limped slightly as he walked. "What is wrong?" What happened with your leg? "You are limping," Alex questioned. "Please do not ask. It is a headache. Oh no. The purse. "She was here." Rahas dashed to the exit to return her purse, with Alex trailing behind. But before he could call her, she was gone. "Did you meet that girl?" "The doctor?" Alex asked. "Yes, she was there." "You must be pleased. So good. Is it destiny, or what? How did you two meet? Did you meet romantically, like in K-dramas?" The happy Alex appeared to be causing havoc. Seeing Rahas' sour expression, he decided to shut his mouth to avoid trouble.
