Chapter 22On Saturday, the detectives found Georgia in the common room with her parents, Sean and Dr. Edwards who'd been called in on an emergency earlier that morning. Sean introduced them to his in-laws and pulled two chairs into their circle.
Detective Calloway took the lead. “We have some good news for you, Miss Georgia. We found your car late yesterday. You went off the road beside the Rainbow Bridge over the Neches River.”
Her mother gasped and Georgia reached for Sean's hand.
“In lieu of your memory recall of being forced off the road, we're holding the contents of the car as evidence, but I think we can return this.” Calloway retrieved her wallet from his pocket and handed it to her. It appears your ID and credit cards are intact and we've taken pictures of all the contents.”
