Chapter 18Tuesday
Georgia sat in the chair staring at Sean who was sitting on the edge of her hospital bed. “My parents?”.
“Yes, they were supposed to arrive in L.A. yesterday but their flight was delayed. They arrived this morning and caught a connecting flight to Port Arthur. They'll be here soon.”
This new development left her feeling anxious. She was becoming comfortable in the presence of her husband. His quiet, unassuming nature kept her calm and even though he was a stranger to her, she was grateful that she had someone to support her. He hadn't told her much about her life and she sensed he was holding back, perhaps afraid of overwhelming her. She didn't ask for the same reason.
