Chapter 1

Rosella Johnson. She was just an ordinary eighteen-year-old girl.

She had shoulder-length to her back long red-brown hair, chocolate brown eyes is a little over 5'9 inches.

She was just smart, creative, friendly, and sometimes nasty and snappy if someone offends her or her loved ones.

Also, she was loving to design clothes, draw, and painting and loved to play the piano and guitar.

You can say that she loved all these kinds of things that made her somehow unique.

Now she was beginning her third year of college in one of the best universities in the country.

Her dreams would be in this city come true. It was the first step to her dream of becoming a famous fashion designer.

She is determined not to give up on her dream. From now on she was studying fashion.

This university was one of many top universities and she was in high school in a fashion academy.

On the campus of NYU, many students went through the many booths to find out about the different subjects and clubs.

She was making her rounds with her best friend, Sienna Adams - who had shoulder-length light brown hair, green-brown eyes, was 5'5 inches, and a model-like body.

Then a boy who was 6'inches, had sand blonde hair, chocolate brown eyes also a well-trained body, kept running towards them.

"Rose! Sienna! There you are. I've searched you guys the entire university when you didn't answer my call."

He sounded disappointed.

It was their typical behavior towards him.

They liked it to tease him a little bit.

Both girls began to giggle when he noticed he was offended by them.

" How dare you two make fun of me."

He spoke.

"Ok, ok. Don't be so offensive. We just wanted to tease you a little."

Sienna and she tried to hold their laughers while they tried to calm down.

He looked at the unbelievable.

They were walking through the corridor when they heard the exciting screeching of students.

They looked in the direction where the screeching came from.

Four good-looking guys were going through the university floor and their groupies were surrounded by them to take photos of them.

When they were passing by one of the groupies bumped into Rose by that time the phone fall from her hand that landed directly in front of the most handsome boy under the four boys.

He stepped on her cell phone, whose display splintered and broke under his shoe.

The little crowd went away when she took her cell phone and saw the broken screen.

She was upset that her cell phone was broken, even could not turn it on.

"Rose! Is everything with your cell phone alright?"

Sienna asked her in worry when Sienna and David came towards her.

Rose shook her head while she showed her phone to them.

"No. My phone is damaged because of that guy."

While she was thinking of that person who had broken her phone her anger slowly grew further and further.

Knowing her, Sienna and David were worried because of her temperament and that person unlocked something in Rose they were worried about coming out again.

This guy should be prepared since he did unconsciously, he should pay for what he damaged.

Now was the thing who he was, that should she find out.

"Do you know who these four guys are?"

So, she asked her two best friends.

The two of them looked at each other then shook their heads.

An idea came to Sienna told her idea to Rose.

"We can ask someone, who is no longer in the university."

Rose watched her friend when she listened to her idea.

When she heard the idea it was not bad, that she nodded.

After the accident, each of them went to their classes.

Rose's thoughts went to her phone.

How could she get a new phone?

She had money, she knew that but she did not damage her phone, but he did it and he was going to pay it if he wanted it or not.

For the rest of the classes, she listened to the rest of what the prof said and left after it ended.

She met Sienna and David at the canteen where they were waiting for her.

She sneaked up from behind on them.

The two friends were frightened for a moment, then they saw who it was.

"Rose! How could you!" David said offended.

Rose could only laugh at the reaction of David as well as Sienna.

Some of the students looked at them why they were laughing.

Then they went quiet when the four handsome guys came in.

Everybody could only stare at them when they came in.

They did not stand in the line at the cafeteria but got their food right in front of the next one, who should have his turn.

Rose decided to ignore them also the accident too.

It didn't mean that she gave up the idea to confront that guy, but she would find a good chance to make him pay for her phone.

Also, she could feel that this chance would come then in the future as she thought.

She didn't notice that she drifted to her thoughts only when David tapped on her arm, she noticed it.

When they took their meal, they searched for a place to sit.

"Sienna! Rose! Here!"

The three friends heard a familiar voice behind them.

When they turned beside them, they saw two girls who were waving their hands.

Together with Sienna and David, she went to her other two friends to sit with them.

While they were eating, they also talked when they ate.

Both girls were hearing the story from the beginning to the end.

Now they knew how their friend's phone was damaged, but the question was who?

"Rose, who is that guy that destructed your phone?" She was curious who it was.

"I don't know, Cheyenne."

Cheyenne Lewis had sunflower blonde shoulder-length hair, ice-blue eyes, and a body that every girl dreamed of having.

She was studying architecture at the university as well as was popular among the students.

Most of the guys had fallen into her including her beauty.

But she was a b***h too.

The others listened to the conversation as well as they sometimes when sometimes it was needed to say or nodded in agreement.

"I think you should find that guy who destructed your phone and should replace your cell phone."

Rose thought about the same thing, then she nodded in agreement.

"You are right. I thought about it too. But I don't know who that guy is!"

She sighed at herself, how she could solve her problem.

"But the problem is who he is, Rina"

Rina Gordon was half American and half Asian, had a light tint skin including a model-like body that every girl wishes to have, her amber wood black hair was too her shoulders and brown eyes.

Everyone on the table noticed that Cheyenne's attention was elsewhere, or should you say it was on someone else.

They turned around the direction where Cheyenne's attention was, like every girl in the canteen.

Then she saw the person, who caused the damage to her phone.

"Rose, isn't it that person that caused the damage on your phone?"

When Cheyenne heard what Sienna said a moment ago, she came to reality back.

"What! K4's Tyler Golding have stepped on your phone!"

"K4 is quite popular at the university."

After they had eaten, they left the canteen.

"They're four senior students at NYU.

Their average height is 6-foot inches.

They're all very handsome talented and outgoing.

Most importantly, at school, they all excel in their respective fields."

She ate one or two fries while she looked through the group.

The four friends listened to her as if it was some news that she talked about.

"Noah Carter major is music.

Dylan Collins, Cole Thorne, and Tyler Golding's majors are Business Administration.

They attract a lot of attention at school.

They always get the best scholarships and they're all skilled in at least three languages.

They are not only smart, but they also have great taste too.

They might look like players, but they respect women.

The four of them are very close.

They have been friends since they were little.

It's almost impossible for someone new to join them.

Because of that, K4 has always been very mysterious in NYC.

The girls all love them, and there are a lot of boys who want to prove that they're better than them.

These boys challenge them to prove that they're more popular and more attractive."

When Rose listened to what Cheyenne told them, she thought why always it had been her that happened something to her.

Sienna asked Cheyenne out of curiosity?

"With Bridge," she smirked at them.

"Bridge?"

David and Sienna were now more curious than before when Cheyenne told them this.

At the same time, Rina and Rose listened to her on the side.

"The four of them have different strengths when playing Bridge."

She paused when they were walking through the corridor.

"Dylan Collins is the artistic one.

He loves literature and art.

He's good at designing exhibitions and holding salons.

At Bridge table, he has an incredible memory. He never forgets anything.

He's also very humorous.

After listening to his jokes, his opponents often lower their defense.

They start to make the game less serious.

Cole Thorne is very subtle and cautious.

His family adores tea and cooking.

He is very skilled in the art of tea and cooking.

At the Bridge table, he's good at strategies.

He knows how to play mind games. He distracts his opponents.

They often don't even know how they lost.

They call him the Battle King.

Noah Carter is a music genius.

He has perfect pitch and plays many instruments.

He earns many music scholarships every year.

At the Bridge table, he's calm and poised.

The opponent can never tell what his hand is like.

Some say he has laser eyes that can see through others' trickery.

Also, they say that when the opponent sees his smile, they'll give up their best card.

As for the leader of K4, Tyler Golding, he has a great interest and talent in finance.

When he turned 18, he earned a million dollars through trading securities.

That made him a legend at NYC's business school.

At the Bridge table, he's very aggressive. Some people sit down and get scared into making mistakes.

They fail to utilize their best cards and regret it afterward."

They left the canteen to go to their next lectures after they were ready to leave.

On the way to their lectures, Cheyenne just kept talking about K4.

She told them how they are and how they feel.

Rina and Rose cared who they are, what Rose cared about was how she could get Tyler Golding to pay for her cell phone repairs.

"For me, it looks like they are just arrogant guys who are rich," Rina said casually.

Cheyenne just ignored Rina and Rose because these two were sometimes of the same opinion.

"The four of them have won many Bridge awards for the school. The school is very proud of them."

It looked like that their friend was also one of their groupies.

Rose just shook her head in little disappointment.

They were now in front of the fashion design lecture room where Rose would have her next course, where Rina also would have her IT course next to the fashion design course.

Rina and Rose were standing in front of their lecture rooms to say goodbye to the others.

David talked with an impressed voice "that's awesome."

But that didn't hold Rose on her mind.

"Even they are good at playing cards, they should apologize when they break someone's phone."

Cheyenne couldn't say anything about this. She knew her friend was right.

So, she could not say anything else.

When it was time to leave David and Sienna said goodbye to the others to go to their lectures.

Only Cheyenne were left with the two girls.

Cheyenne tried to think of a way to get any other information from Rose about the incident.

But to her dissatisfaction, she couldn't get anything out of her.

So, she left frustrated the two girls alone to go to her next lecture.

The following day Rose, Sienna, and Rina were on the way to their classes.

This class is attended by students who have chosen a minor in addition to their major.

The three friends chose business as a minor as they would eventually find their own company after graduation.

Now they are in their business classes.

But today's class was different from the other classes they had.

The senior year students were in today's class too.

When they saw Cheyenne sitting near K4 in their class.

The three friends looked at her as if she was even crazier than before.

Cheyenne could feel that her friends were watching on her, so to ease that oddness she calmed down from her excitement and was her usual self again.

She waved at them.

"Let's find seats to sit."

Rina and Rose looked at each other and had the same thought 'that girl is not normal.'

Then they followed Sienna to find their seats.

Their seats were before K4.

The three girls were sitting on their seats and took their books and papers out.

Sienna, Rina, and Rose were talking with each other, while they could notice that Cheyenne couldn't take her sights from K4.

She was in her world, like the other groupies in their class.

When Cheyenne felt a nudge on the left side of her rib, she looked at her friend.

She gave her a look like what should that be.

She ignored after then her friend and focused on K4.

She must find a way to get close to Tyler, to get together with him, but how?

He is the most popular boy, and she is the most popular girl, so they are fit to be a couple, she thought.

While Cheyenne was in her wishful thinking the lesson already started.

During the lecture, the third-year students looked at the senior students except for Rose and Rina.

Those two were not like the other students.

For both were their education more important than adoring some handsome boys from senior year.

The two professors had introduced themselves to the respective courses to explain the reason for the meeting of the two courses.

Now everyone was interested in the reason.

"So, today we both are saying the reason for this gathering. We decided that you, students, from senior year and third year are working together on a project!" said Professor Nolan.

Most of the students were excited that they could work together with the senior students and everyone in the third-year courses wanted to collaborate with K4.

But it was just their wishful thinking.

"Rose!"

She heard someone call her name. She looked on her left side to the person next to her.

"What is, Sienna?" she was now curious because of Sienna's shocked voice.

"You are in the same group with Tyler Golding!"

She exclaimed unbelievably.

Rose looked quickly at the list that was shown on the beamer to be sure if it was real or a joke.

It was real!

She was with Tyler Golding in a group!

This must be a joke!

She couldn't imagine that she was in a group with the most popular guy in their university.

With that playboy!

She could explode with anger if she could.

"Now that we have clarified it.

You can begin with your project.

For your information, this project will also be your exam when you going to present your project to us."
