Chapter 22
Ric’u arrowed swiftly through the murky river, leaving barely a ripple behind to mark his race to a place which he hadn’t visited in so many of this planet’s years. After the escape pod of Dev’o’s Honor, his ship, had landed not far from a series of caverns, he and what was left of his very diverse crew had transferred the supplies and equipment they could salvage there and used it as their base. The main chamber was accessed through a quiet lagoon. Later he would learn this place was thought to be the Terran dwelling place of the locals’ old gods.
Something else had given this lagoon the reputation for being a place of nightmares, inhabited by monsters.
