IN LOVE WITH MY IDOL
Episode 1: The Fan Who Never Stopped Believing (Part 3)
Scene 9
Aurora Entertainment Headquarters – Main Hallway
The papers scattered like white snow across the polished marble floor.
Dan-o’s eyes widened in horror.
“No, no, no…”
She dropped to her knees, hurriedly gathering the pages.
“I’m so sorry! Why do I keep running into you?”
The tall man crouched down as well.
Without a word, he picked up a few sheets that had slid beneath a nearby bench.
“Here.”
His voice was calm—deep, but gentle.
Dan-o accepted the papers with both hands.
“Thank you… and I’m really sorry about earlier. First the coffee, and now this.”
“It’s okay.”
She laughed awkwardly.
“I promise I’m not usually this clumsy.”
He looked at her for a moment.
“I believe you.”
Dan-o blinked.
For some reason, hearing those three words eased the embarrassment she’d been carrying all morning.
Before she could say anything else, footsteps echoed through the hallway.
“Ha-ru!”
A manager hurried over carrying a stack of folders.
“We need to review the schedule before rehearsal.”
Ha-ru?
Dan-o froze.
Her mind repeated the name.
Ha-ru…
Surely not…
The man gave the manager a small nod.
“I’ll be there.”
Then he looked back at Dan-o.
“Congratulations on your new job.”
“…Thank you.”
He turned and walked away with the manager.
Dan-o stood motionless, watching him disappear into a hallway marked AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY.
“Ha-ru…”
She frowned.
“There are probably lots of people named Ha-ru.”
She shook her head.
“Don’t be ridiculous, Dan-o.”

Scene 10
AETHER Practice Studio
The members had finally taken a break.
Min-jae plopped onto the sofa with a bottle of water.
“So…”
Everyone looked up.
“…who was Coffee Girl?”
Ha-ru pretended not to hear him.
“No idea.”
“You smiled.”
“I smiled because you finally stopped talking.”
“Ouch.”
Si-woo chuckled.
“I’ve never seen you smile at a stranger before.”
“It wasn’t a smile.”
“It definitely was.”
Eun-jae tilted his head.
“I think she’s cute.”
Ha-ru raised an eyebrow.
“You saw her for five seconds.”
“I know.”
“But she has kind eyes.”
Manager Seo entered with a clipboard.
“Enough gossip.”
“The company hired a new assistant today.”
Min-jae grinned.
“Hopefully someone organized.”
The manager paused.
“…Actually…”
Everyone looked at him.
“…She’s been assigned to Ha-ru.”
Silence.
Then…
“What?”
Min-jae burst into laughter.
“Coffee Girl?”
Si-woo slapped his knee.
“That’s fate.”
Ha-ru sighed.
“It’s coincidence.”
The members exchanged mischievous smiles.
None of them believed that.

Scene 11
Outside Aurora Entertainment
Dan-o practically floated out of the building.
The evening sky had turned shades of pink and gold.
She still couldn’t believe she’d been hired.
She dialed Soo-bin again.
“So?”
“So?”
“So?!”
Dan-o laughed.
“I got the job.”
“I already know that.”
“No… I mean…”
“They told me I’ll be working directly with an artist.”
Soo-bin gasped dramatically.
“WHAT?”
“I don’t know who yet.”
“You could end up working with AETHER!”
Dan-o laughed nervously.
“As if.”
“My luck isn’t that good.”
Just then, her phone buzzed with a company email.
Assignment Notice
She tapped it open.
Her eyes scanned the page.
Then stopped.
Her breathing caught.
Employee: Choi Dan-o
Department: Artist Management
Assignment: Personal Assistant
Artist: Kim Ha-ru
Everything around her seemed to go silent.
Cars.
People.
The city itself.
She read the name again.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
“No way…”
Her hands trembled.
“No…”
“No…”
“There has to be another Kim Ha-ru.”
Then another notification appeared.
Attached beneath the email…
was an official artist profile.
A familiar face filled her screen.
Dark hair.
Gentle eyes.
The same quiet smile she’d loved for nearly ten years.
Kim Ha-ru.
Leader of AETHER.
The man she’d bumped into twice…
…was the very idol she’d admired for almost a decade.
Dan-o covered her mouth in disbelief.
“I spilled coffee…”
“…on Kim Ha-ru.”
She stared at the screen, mortified.
“Oh…”
“…I’m going to die.”
