CHAPTER FOUR: NEW LIFE AT UNIVERSITY.

Sheilla went through the registration procedures quickly. She was taken to the hostels by Laura,who was acting as her guide. She settled her things in her assigned room and went with Laura to the mess hall. She was hungry after all. She needed to refill her stomach before going back to have a good rest. Along the way, she saw many kinds of people. There were those that were weird as they looked at her with droopy eyelids as though they would fall asleep at any time. There were those that were smartly dressed and gave off a princely aura. In short,there were all kinds of people in that place. When they got in the mess hall, Laura helped her order some food and guided to a table that was least frequented by other students.

Laura is typically a simple minded girl just like Sheilla. She comes from a simple background but aims for the skies in her studies. She had chosen to befriend Sheilla because she felt that she had a similar air about her. The similarities made her feel okay accompanying her.

On the other hand, Faith who had been accompanied by her parents,had also gone to through the registration at lightning speed. She was assigned to the same courses as Sheilla. Both the minor and the major ones. Due to her family's affluent nature,she naturally didn't choose to stay in the school hostels. She directly went to get a room in the lodging from across the school. She was behaving as carefree as she could get. She was of course,a frequent visitor of high end places. So,she didn't exhibit any awkwardness.

Her parents accompanied her for a whole day as they guided her on what to do and what not to do. Finally,they gave her a hefty pocket money bidding her farewell and boarding a vehicle back home. Faith finally sighed with relief. She had long been tired with her parents nagging nature. She was a grown up for f*ck's sake! She was already eighteen years old and yet she was still being cared for as though she was a toddler.

Having gotten rid of her parents,she decided to go back to the school premises to look for Sheilla. She wanted to know where she stayed. On the way back, she passed by a couple who were kissing each other deeply in an inconspicuous corner of the building of history lecture hall. She hid herself and started recording the whole scene like a little detective. She liked doing such sneaky sneaky things and at the same time,wished that she were the girl that was being groped passionately by the boy. The boy's unruly hand was patting the perky bottom of the female fox spirit. The love being displayed by the two was really touching. They were so brazen enough to go to the next step! The boy,who was deeply influenced by the girl's proactive state,went berserk and raised her skirt as he unbuttoned her t-shirt while at the same time, unbuckling his belt. Faith was dumbfounded! She ogled the couple with her eyes wide open. She even coughed violently without wanting to. She was also having an erection! "Who the f*ck is there?" The boy quickly buckled his belt as he asked upon hearing the cough. The girl was flustered as she quickly rectified her messed up clothes. Faith was so scared that she dropped her camera as she ran off in the opposite direction! She didn't go to Sheilla's place as had planned. That episode gave her a huge shock that made her stumble back to her room and shut the door tight.

Sheilla went back to her hostel after eating to her fill. She excused herself from her new friend, Laura,and went to sleep. She was so tired that she slept all the to the next day . She was awoken by Laura who was thinking that maybe she was ill. Seeing how worked up Laura looked,she felt a warmth flow in her heart meridians. She hadn't been cared for by a genuine friend like this one before."I'm fine, Laura. I'm sorry for making you worried about me." She assured her friend in a gentle tone. Laura,who was behaving like an ant on a hot pan,sighed with relief when she heard what Sheilla said. "What are your plans for today?" Laura asked Sheilla. "I think I'll walk around the school premises after going through my study manuals a bit. By the way, which major are you taking?"Sheilla asked in response. ''uhm, I think I had already told you, Sheilla. Have you forgotten already? I major in Education and specifically sciences. This is because I want to be a teacher in the near future." Laura answered after teasing her. ' I'm sorry I forgot!' Sheilla said with a tinge of embarrassment. " Haha! No need to be embarrassed,ok? I know that you had a lot on your mind yesterday and it wasn't easy for you to adapt to the situation here." Laura comforted her."Alright,I've already washed up and I'm going to the lecture hall. I'll see later. Take care,ok?" Laura said as she slid through the door and ran to class happily.

Sheilla read her study manuals for two hours before taking a hot shower, dressed up and went out for a walk. During her walk, she discovered that even though the Wilson University supported aviation,there wasn't a runway in the vicinity. Upon asking a senior who was passing by,she was told that there was a Wilson airport on another part of the city and that it wasn't far off. The senior told her that she shouldn't be vexed or troubled because she would get to see the air birds during the aviation practicals.

As Sheilla was walking through the basketball court, she had Faith's voice calling her. This was the voice that she dreaded the most! She couldn't even count how many times the owner of that voice had caused her mental breakdown. Especially the day that a bucket of icy cold sewerage water drenched her thoroughly while still a first year in Buhungu High School. Despite that,she still had to turn around and face her nemesis. "Yes,Faith, how may be of help to you?" She said politely as she tried her best to maintain her calm. She had been told by Laura that even though they might seem to be the dregs of the society in the eyes of those from well-to-do families,they too had a backbone. Therefore, Sheilla had made up her mind that she will have to stand up for herself and not wait for help from who knows where.

Faith was taken aback by Sheila's boldness. She never thought that one day she'll be talked to in such an aloof manner by a person who was to being as timid as a mouse. She even raised her head to look at the direction from which the sun was rising! She thought that the sun had risen from the west. She looked at Sheilla weirdly for a split second before plastering a smile on her face and approached Sheilla like a sister from next door."Can I walk alongside you today? Do not misunderstand. I'm bored today and I haven't made any friends yet. Are you headed to the canteen for breakfast?" ' Yeah!Sure. And yes I'm headed to the canteen. Are you sure you want to go and dine there?' Sheilla asked in puzzlement."Yeah!I'm pretty sure. Sheilla,I'm sorry for all the trouble that I caused you, okay?" It was sheilla's turn to confirm whether the sun had really risen from the west. She didn't expect that the high and mighty princess Tyrant would actually apologize to her,a lowly being! "No problem. I didn't take it to heart. I'm quite surprised this time."
