The Alpha's Wrath

1122 Words
Cindy’s seductive smile quickly faded. “What do you mean by that?” she asked while swallowing her saliva out of nervousness. Jacob’s glare can pierce anyone’s heart. “I say that your father has been removed as the Head of the Council of the Emerald City,” he repeated, then looked at his surroundings. Those watching earlier and letting Cindy hurt me were also sweating as they crouched in their seats. “Are you joking? My father can’t be removed from his position! No one will dare to oppose our family,” Cindy recovered from her shock. Her family is the richest in the Emerald City, so she doesn’t believe what Jacob said. Cindy’s statement only intensified Jacob’s anger. “And when did the word alpha become a joke?” He looked around, waiting for someone to speak. Cindy looks around, waiting for someone to step in. She knows that everyone in the pack respects her father more than they respect Luna. But a few minutes later, no one spoke to her. “Guys! Tell the alpha, how powerful my father and my family are in the Emerald City!” she turned to her friends. But the two girls remain silent and step back to avoid the anger seen on the face of their alpha. I saw the tears well up in Cindy’s eyes. Even though I was upset with what she had done earlier. I didn’t want to see her in this situation. So I whispered to Jacob, “that’s enough,” pulling on his clothes to stop the disorder. But Jacob’s wrath is not finished. He walks closer to Cindy and pins her to the table as she did to me earlier. “Never lay a finger on Scarlett Snow, or else you and your family will be rogues. Do you understand me?” he uttered in a threatening voice before throwing Cindy into her friend’s hand. My eyes narrowed as I looked at Jacob. I never see him as a cold and horrifying alpha. He always smiled at mom and Kurt at home, even at me. That’s why I wondered if Jacob Hale had two personalities. “And for you! Come with me!” Jacob clutched my arms and pulled me out of the snack house. Everyone who saw us would think that was my end, because the obvious range of Jacob’s eyes is evident. So as we walked, the pack members we encountered immediately avoided him. “Jacob, where are you taking me?” I asked because I didn’t know which part of the house we were going to. But I still didn’t get an answer. That is why I assumed he would punish me. It also crossed my mind that Jacob was furious because his mate was a weakling. Jacob hastily opened the door of his office, and as we entered, he promptly leaned me against the door. “Scarlett, if you don’t want me to murder the member of my pack don’t let them bully you! Do you understand!” he uttered after looking at my face. I’m speechless ... the end I was waiting for didn’t happen. Instead, the Jacob I met at home had returned, and the demon Jacob had disappeared, and I was not ready for that. “Don’t worry, I will assign one of my pack members to be your body guard when I’m not around,” Jacob added. My eyes widened with his remarks. “No! I can take care of myself! I don’t need a babysitter!” I cruised Jacob a little, but his hands crawled towards my nape while the other was on my back. “Jacob, what are you doing? Someone might see us!” “Do you think someone will come into my office after my argument with the council and add to the fuel-is seeing my little Scarlett being bullied in my territory?” Jacob murmured between exhaling and inhaling my scent. I clench my fist to prevent myself from moaning. Scarlett Snow, you’re crazy! Jacob did only hug you, yet you seemed on fire! I exclaimed to myself. “Mom is probably looking for me now, so let me go!” I reasoned as I removed Jacob’s hand. But Jacob just smiled and hugged me even tighter. “Perhaps you don’t know, but you’re giving me a hard time,” he murmured as his face rested on my neck. “Jacob, If I’m giving you a hard time, then let me go home,” I retorted. I’m still at a loss about the event. Jacob let me go to the meeting but prevented me from deciding. And worse, he even kicked me out of the conference! “I read letters from different packs in the region and I can’t believe almost ten alphas want you to be their Luna!” “Jacob, you’re exaggerating! I did not leave the Emerald City! So stop making a story and let me go!” I exclaimed while frowning. I heard Jacob sigh before letting me go. He walked to the other side of the desk and took the envelopes out of the drawer. “I’m not exaggerating. Do you think I have the luxury of playing games with my little mate?” Jacob exclaimed and dropped the envelopes. I frowned as I picked up the letters one by one, and, like Jacob said, these were official letters from the pack’s office in the region. “Well, beauty isn’t the only basis for a Luna. If they find out that I’m worthless, they won’t insist.” “Scarlett, yes, you are beautiful and you are not worthless!” I glared at Jacob. “You arrived in this town yesterday, so how can you be so sure about that? Earlier ...you see how Cindy easily beat the craft out of me. I’m weak and I can’t defend myself, and not smart like girl’s in town, “I smiled bitterly. Because I focused my attention on the envelope, I didn’t notice Jacob’s approach. “What-“ Jacob didn’t give me time to finish my world because he had already claimed my lips. His kiss was very tender this time, bringing peace to my heart. “Scarlett Snow, I don’t want you to degrade yourself,” Jacob whispered after the kiss. “I’m just telling the truth,” I answered while blushing. “Hmm, perhaps it will help if I teach you some tricks ... before I accept you in the pack,” Jacob states. My eyes widened as I glared at Jacob, checking if he was serious. “Thank you!” I exclaimed and hugged him tightly. But along with my hug was the sudden opening of the door ...
