Alessandro's POV Valery continued the narrative. During their time of happiness, the dryad had not revealed her agreement with the witch to Prince Lycan. She led him to believe that she had, through a faerie spell, managed to confine the oak in the phylactery. So, when the witch appeared before the couple, the prince's surprise was greater, along with his frustration upon learning the lie that his love had told him.
