Neveah p.o.v
This weather is so strange. Raining all morning, and now it’s brilliant sunshine and boiling hot. “God, I feel like I’m in an oven.” I huff to myself taking my jumper off. I walk across the field to the furthest side, and sit under the willow tree. I sit here everyday after school and read my book, waiting for Ruth to finish her martial arts training. I’m reading my book. But something seems off. I have this awful feeling wash over me. I’m being watched! I can sense it. My anxiety picking up, I lift my head from my book, and look around. “No one there. Your just being stupid”. I mumble to myself, and carry on reading my book. A twig snaps behind me. I panick. Chucking my book in the air I grab my bag and start running. “Not today satan!” I shout as I run for my life. Not stopping till I make it home, running through the door and slamming it shut behind me.

“Neveah!” I shout, as I see her run across the field like her life depends on it. She didn’t hear me. What’s got into her I wonder to myself. I look towards the willow tree, where she would have been sat, only to see my brother standing there. Arms folded and a cheeky grin stretched across his face. I growl and storm towards him. “What the f**k did you do Chris?” I shout as I get close to him.

“What the f**k did you do Chris?” My sister shouts at me, breaking my gaze from the gorgeous looking she-wolf I see running. “Hello sis, pleasure to see you as well.” I say with a smirk. My cheek starts burning as my sister slaps me, and again repeats; “what the f**k did you do?” “Apart from walk here from border patrol in hopes of a lift home, absolutely nothing.” I say. “That hurt by the way.” I tell her whilst rubbing my cheek. “GOOD!” She shouts. “What have I told you about hitting on my friends Chris!” Shouting at me, arms crossed against her chest, tapping the ground with her foot. “I wasn’t hitting on her. I never got chance to.” I laugh. “WANT ANOTHER SLAP?” She shouts. “From your friend? Any…..” I don’t get to finish my sentence. My sister lunges at me, knocking me to the floor whilst repeatedly punching me. “I’m joking, I’m joking.” I shout laughing at her. She stands up and starts heading to her car. “I’m telling mom!” I shout to her, following behind brushing grass off me. “Look what you did, grass stains all over my white top.” I look up and find Ruth right in my face, nose to nose. “Shut up and get in the f*****g car prick. Or I will leave you to walk home.” She hisses at me. I hold my hands up in surrender and get in the car.

I lean my head back against the door, puffing away trying to catch my breath. My chest burning from running so bloody fast. “Everything ok love?” My father says peering over the sofa. I jump out my skin, lifting my bag above my head swinging it. “I surrender, I surrender.” My father laughs. “Jesus Christ dad! You scared the f*****g s**t out of me. What you creeping around like that for?” I snap at my dad. My father looks down at himself then back at me. “Ermmm sitting on the sofa playing candy crush, not creeping around.” He says sarcastically. “What are you doing running into the house bright red and breathless?” He asks. I walk into the kitchen rolling my eyes. “Running from my imagination.” I say grabbing a glass of water. “Ah yes, always been a bit wild that imagination of yours. I blame it on the books you bury your head in.” “Yeah, no doubt.” I say, agreeing with my father as I walk upstairs to my room.
