Chapter 13: The Ghost and the shock

It was midnight, Felix woke up and heard the sentence

that the worker spoke out

Felix got out of the bed and went over to Max and shook him to wake him up.

Max woke up and Felix asked him:" Do you hear that?"

Max grumbled:" Of course I'm not deaf that is... not normal!"

Max sat up and listened then he said:" We go now up to the attic

get dressed and then we go."

Later Max and Felix were at the door to the attic

Max whispered to his brother:"Are you ready?"

Felix trembled but said trying to sound safe: "Yes, I'm ready."

Max then looked at Felix for a long time but remained silent.

Max reached for the doorknob and pushed it down, then climbed up to the attic.

When they were both on the attic, Max started to look for the skeleton of the ghost with the cone of his flashlight

Felix trembled and then asked him: "Shouldn't we first look for the light switch?"

Max turned and then said, "No, we don't want to scare the ghost."

Max turned around again and the ghost was in front of him.

The ghost looked as scary as ever and hovered in the air like heavy fog

then the Ghost said: "Many years ago I lived in this house

and I had no idea of this curse. I only found out about this curse

when I looked up in the library but it didn't say in that book

that you can be killed by the curse I talked to my family about it

they were horrified but I couldn't get around it at night I was still

on that attic and then the curse started to break me

it was a hell of a pain I had suffered when I was here

I died at home but I don't want you and my son to feel the same way

Mike is a good boy and I don't want him to feel the same way I do

save him from this death."

The Ghost disappeared and Felix and Max looked at each other

horror was written on their faces

they ran Head over heels down the stairs and out on the hallway

As they stood in the hallway they gasped and while Max closed the door to the attic

Felix asked him: "What was that?"

Max shook his head and said: "I have no idea what that was

apparently the father of...MIKE. "

Max stood there frozen, then he said: "We have to get him back before anything

happens."

Both ran to their parents' bedroom and both shouted in choir: "Mom Dad we have to find Mike!"

The mother and father were now terrified in the bed

They then said, "Kids not in the middle of the night go to bed."

Max then looked at Felix and then said conspiratorially: "Then we just have to do it on your own. "

Felix looked at Max and nodded.
