I stared at Delrose and didn’t believe for a second that she didn’t plan to hurt anyone. As I studied her flashes of memories plagued me. It didn’t look like she aged even a day in six years, if anything she didn’t age a day since I met her eleven years ago.
The first sentence I could push out of my mouth was directed at Nick, “Did you bring her here??”
“No,” Nick growled, still standing protectively in front of me and Alyssa. I didn’t expect his guard to be as up as it was. Nick was a powerful wolf and even though I knew Delrose was a big threat I didn’t expect him to see her as that since she was human. “I’m not in charge of every bad thing that happens.”
“You would have fooled me,” Alyssa mumbled.
“Same here,” I said.
