Chapter Sixty-Nine
JOSIAH
It was a rather beautiful day and I just had another deal closed, not to mention that I was looking forward to lunch at our house to see Sloane and Sophia, when an unwanted guest barged in my company, automatically ruining it.
"How dare you do that to them, Josiah!" Shannon's annoying voice screamed, looking like she had just run a marathon with guards following her behind.
"We're sorry, sir, we tried stopping her and she somehow found a chance to get past us." The guard apologized and I sighed deeply.
"If you can't stop one woman, how can I trust you to protect this company and everyone?" I asked coldly and stood up. "Wait outside."
"Yes, sir."
Shannon approached me with the intent of slapping me, but I effortlessly caught her arm and threw it away.
