William vanished, dashing off behind the tree Brynn was shoved into. Even as a chilling gale of fear swept through her, the place on her forehead where his lips had been smoldered. Her first instinct was to follow him. She didn't want to be here alone, but more than that, she didn't want William to face this threat by himself. And a threat it certainly was. The howling went on and on, rising and falling in alarmingly sharp peaks and low valleys that sliced straight into Brynn's heart. No ordinary wolves, Brynn knew.
