After clocking out, I wave goodbye to Lisa and hurry up to join my dad by his car. "Hey." I smile when I get to his side. "Ready?" He asks and I nod. We both get in and he starts the car, driving home. "How was school?" He asks after some minutes of silence. "Here and there." I mutter. "No unusual or new thing happened?" He asks again.
