My phone rings beside me on the bed and I snap out of my thoughts.
"Who is it?" Mia asks.
I sit up immediately. "Oliver."
"Really?" I nod and answer the call.
"Hello?"
"Hi." His voice comes out more of a whisper.
"Oliver? What happened?" I ask him. "You just vanished like that."
He chuckles a little. "I'm sorry about that. Went overseas with my parents."
"Yeah I heard."
"Can we meet up? I need a friend right now and I kinda feel lost here."
"Sure sure." I say immediately. I hop off the bed and put on my sneakers. "Where are you? You back already?"
"Yeah I got in yesterday."
"Your keys." I mouth to Mia and she points to her drawer.
I walk there quickly and grab the keys from the drawer.
"So where are you now?" I make the call you later signal to her and she nods.
