The final bell for the day rang and I groaned.
I was supposed to be thrilled that I'd get to see Matt's place after school, but sadly I already have my schedule tight.
"I heard about your date." Alec comes by my side and put his arm around my shoulder.
"Buzz off."
"Aww little sister. You don't have to show me your excitement." He says and I glare at him.
"I'm so excited that you even notice." I say dryly.
"Tell me why you don't want have a date with her."
"I don't like her." I state immediately. "Isn't that a good enough reason?"
"And that's why she's trying to have this hang out with you." He says instead. "So you can lean towards her more."
"Well I appreciate her efforts."
"You don't show it well enough."
