Reject Me

899 Words
Aiden- Aiden couldn't believe it. This plain little thing was the feared Frozen Queen - ruler of the unending night. Not only that, but she was his mate. How unfortunate. She was strong, her toned body showed well in her tight dress. But her face was the plainest of any vampire he'd seen. Freckled, pale, and a weak chin, looking at her face probably never turned anyone on - except him. He felt the urge to reach out and touch her cheek, but his restraints kept his hands behind his back. "Kill the other two. Leave this one to me." She spoke. The guards roughly grabbed Dylan and Brad. Dylan immediately started protesting, the p***y. At that moment, the most stunning woman Aiden had ever seen stepped into the room.  "Em, we can't do that!" The beautiful women held up a hand to stop the guards. This lady must be the second in command, Aiden thought. "They broke the treaty. There have to be repercussions." "I agree, but we have to think rationally. Just killing them could start a war. Think of our public image." "I think killing them would be great for our public image. We've never shown leniency before, why start now?" The woman leaned in to whisper to the Queen. Aiden could still hear them perfectly though. "Because the Tournament is coming up. We can't have you preoccupied with a war when we have more pressing matters to focus on." More pressing matters than a war with werewolves. Man, these vampires were cocky as Damian said. The Queen thought for a moment. "Fine," she said, "interrogate these two. Figure out what was so important they felt they needed to breech a Blood Pact." Aiden flinched at the Queen's words. A Blood Pact? Did Damian make a Blood Pact and not tell anyone? Or was the Queen just trying to trick them?  Dylan and Brad were pulled out of the room with the other woman following. It was just the Queen and Aiden remaining. "I, Emmaline Ransom reject you..." she motioned at him. "Aiden." he smiled.  "Aiden Rosco, as my mate." Strangely, despite the circumstances, he liked hearing her name. Few people knew the real name of the Frozen Queen. "Why are you smiling?" she demanded. "It's funny that you think that would work." "I know it works, I've been around long enough to see it. You just have to accept the rejection." She stepped closer in an intimidating stance. "What makes you think I would accept?" "Why wouldn't you? We can't be mates. I can't kill you, that would result in a war. So I have to send you back to your pack." Aiden slowly stood, hoping standing would give her a better view of his body. He knew he was good looking, he got plenty of attention from women. He heard about how distracting newly introduced mates could be. The mating pull made it difficult to focus on other things until either you were rejected or marked. In his most suggestive voice, he said, "I could stay here with you. Willingly. Or you could come home with me." Emmaline didn't even look phased.  "No. Definitely not. I can't have a werewolf hanging around being an inconvenience. And I sure as hell won't leave my kingdom to live with a bunch of smelly dogs." Obviously, she wasn't impressed by his looks. But he did know that vampires often reacted poorly to a mating bond, becoming weaker where their werewolf mates became stronger. Perhaps he could use that to his advantage. "I won't accept your rejection because as long as we are mates, I have the upper hand." He stated plainly. "Upper hand? I hardly think to be a prisoner would be having the upper hand. The only thing keeping me from killing you and your other pack members is the prospect of dealing with your ridiculous brother." "But you can't kill me, you have the Tournament to worry about. If you want to remain the Queen, you have to prepare, to be the strongest. But the mating pull is making you weaker while it's making me stronger." With the stronger, he pulled against his handcuffs, easily snapping them. Emmaline's eyes widened. He shouldn't have been able to break them, even with his werewolf strength. But the mating pull was really giving him a boost.  "If I don't reject you, you will lose your kingdom." Emmaline's face seemed to change instantly. Her features morphed into an angry scowl. It was admittedly frightening. "Don't ever think for a second you can threaten me."  She tackled him, the speed and strength of it taking Aiden by surprise. He smashed against the back wall, his arms coming up to the offense. He shoved her away from him and she instantly bounced back, her fist connecting with his stomach. Her opposite fist flew toward his face, but he caught it. When she raised her free hand to hit his face, he caught that one. He spun and pushed her against the wall, her hands pinned together between their chests. "I told you, you're weaker, I'm stronger. You can't win against me now." He whispered, their altercation making him out of breath. "Cocky bitch." She responded. She flung their arms apart, throwing her head forward. Her forehead contacted his nose. He felt searing pain for a split second, then everything went black.
