Emmaline flew out of bed the second she became conscious. With McCullough's blood now running through her, she had some of the strength back. Her throat had completely healed and she felt the most energetic she had since Aide first appeared.
Mary had been poised and ready for Emmaline to awake. Without a word between the two, they both ran to Emmaline's car. With Emmaline's speed reduced, her car would be the quickest way to Vengence territory. They sped to the territory border, silence still hanging between them, no words needed as they both knew what they were doing.
At the territory border, they exited the car and started running on foot, timing their entrance to avoid the border patrols. One advantage vampire had to werewolves was their ability to move virtually silent. T
