It had been a week since Aiden first came to her clan. Her clan members had followed her orders and avoided him. The only people with any direct contact were herself and Mary. Mary had actually become quite close with Aiden and most of what Emmaline knew was through her.
Aiden was almost a decade younger than Damian so they had never really been close until they became Alpha and Beta. Both of their parents were cold and distant people and Damian was much like them. Damian only seemed to care for power and position, even Damian's mate seemed secondary to this. Damian was used to bullying people to get what he wanted and when Emmaline stood against him, it was the first time anyone had done so.
