I couldn't sleep all night even if I knew he was outside due to constant checking. Soon it was morning I rushed out to meet him still there just looking through his phone
“Good morning, did you get any sleep at all?”
He just smiled at me and nodded.
“I'll get us breakfast ”
He stood up taking the sit and passed me to drop it in my room then left without a comment to me at least. I ordered two breakfast but he never showed up and I was too shy to go knock so I left the second doze of food and tried to sleep.
When I woke up it was almost meeting time I felt really sick I called my manager and asked him to cover me up while I relaxed but it became worst I tried to get to my phone to call for help but it was too far to reach. after an hour the door opened on but I was too weak to check who entered I felt the person put his hand on my forehead before carrying be bridal style out of the room.
When I woke up I was in the hospital with terrible headache I didn't see anyone in the room I was but I heard people outside discussing
“You don't mean it!….”
“I'm saying the truth! He brought her here himself and asked me to watch over her that he will handle my duties with his”
“What has gotten into my son? Is he unwell or something? Tell me how everything happened this is too usual to swallow ”
“We arrived a little late at the meeting but then boss was looking around searching for someone once he sat his spoke for the first time in a meeting!”
“Don't you dare cook up stories!”
“I'm not sir I'm saying the truth! What happened shocked everyone who knew him I almost fainted!“
“What did that rascal say!”
“He faced her manager and asked him where his boss was”
“He spoke because of a woman?!“
“Yes! In 3 letter words”
“What then happened”
“The manager apologized and said she was unwell and couldn't make it boss got up abandoning the meeting to go meet her!”
“Its obvious that rascal has finally been tied down! I've prayed so long for this!”
“Guess what's more shocking?”
“what my ears are itching!”
“He just told me she was almost murdered yesterday and he saved her!“
“Say no more I need to meet with her immediately!”
I heard him rushing In and suddenly he was in front of me I bowed my head as a sign of respect his father was still good looking at old age no wonder that crazy dude was so attractive. He suddenly comes to meet me excited this man was full of joy on like his grumpy son
“How….how are you darling?”
“I'm fine sir its a pleasure to meet you!”
I gave out my best smile
“I knew your dad when we were younger he was a no nonsense man so we only did business once. Maybe he felt I was too un serious but well look at me now, the best in this part of the Continent!”
“O…waw! Thats wonderful you must be so hard working I pray to take my company to that length!”
We both got really talky and I really enjoyed his company. We spoke for hours until his son came
“Hey there son?!“
He frowned as a sign of disapproval to the man
“You don't control my damn legs I'll get anywhere I want to!“
“Why the temperature between you two?”
I asked before I could think
“O..! Sorry about that its actually your business ”
“My dad is a handful! Dad time to go back home!“
“I'm not leaving my daughter-in-law!”
“Wait-what?!” we both shouted together at him
“What's that? See what I'm saying?! He's literally too much go back home old man!”
“I'm not going anywhere!”
I could feel the temperature in this room getting really hot as they continue to argue dirty I stood up and hugged his son not knowing what I was thinking I felt him stiff but somehow this crazy guy has been the only one that calms me since I was born after my mum.
“My head hurts”
That's the last thing I remembered cause I fainted.
