Raging Anger

1192 Words
Fire... reposeful, I thought, as the flame dancing with a breath of ice-cold air entering through the cracks of the cabin made out of wood, warding off the demons in the dark with its warm light quivering. 'Fire!'... I spoke loudly as the wax ran down to the ground forming along with the rest of the puddle. The light quivering more rapidly this time. Suppose I could make the fire bigger with just a flick of my hand... I seem to move fire at my demand... The howling of the wind rushing through the trees leaves scrapping and scrambling along the wild outside floors as small sand particles launched into the air creating dust to hover all over the atmosphere. Not only fire reacts to the sound of my voice but the weather seems to reflect my deepest emotions and amplifies it to the maximum. The coldness clenching to my skin matters no more I cannot feel a thing. Outcast, Freak of nature, call it what you please for those words never broke my wings. Those vile creatures who call themselves humans shall be doomed upon my return to beg my forgiveness, blood shall be spilled for my pain and suffering. Flopping myself down on the floor as my dress flared out swooping up some dust and I noticed the marks of mud from the children throwing me along with cuts and tears as I fled into the woods. They punished me just because I am different because I scream at nights because my nose bleeds when I get angry, because... because, because I killed someone without a touch. My soul twisted within my chest, I could feel the anger seething inside me much like a wildfire burning down every cord of sentimental values, as the thoughts of every incident played out in my mind more rage build-up, the fire from the small white candle grew insanely bigger and quivered more out of control. "They shall fear my name, in every town they shall bow down and worship me!" The fire lit the roof of the cabin instantly and the whole cabin caught fire as I laughed, cried? I did not know how to feel... I could not feel anything but hate!  The tree branches banging against the remaining walls of the cabin and the dripping of water on her face woke her up. Astounded by the ashes and half-burned pieces of wood from the cabin's roof that has landed all around her, yet she was untouched. She lifted her head to the sky and blinked her eyes as some drops of rainwater from the trees above thumbed on her face. The sound of birds filled her ears as she slowly regained memory of last night, however, her head was pounding as if she was knocked on the head with a piece of wood. For now, she was just sitting up straight, she thought, if she should stand up just yet she might fall over or faint. The white candle was still about 5 cm from the ground also seemed to survive the fire, it was the source, after all. She smiled thinking about it, thinking about what she could do, she could never understand why she was so lonely no one really wanted to talk to her she had no friends as everyone was always too busy or always had to go do something. The thoughts ran through her mind as the faces popped up and as her thoughts moved along her anger grew again but the scattering of leaves and branches breaking startled her and she quickly made it to her feet. "Who goes there? Show yourself!" She spoke loudly. She stood still waiting for an answer but the silence was all she received. "I repeat... Who goes there?" She said again.  'Don't fear child... I do not wish to hurt you.' A feminine voice from the woods drifted on the wind.  She turned and turned into every direction to see where the voice came from but all she saw was tall trees, shrubs, and mist. "Come forth! Let me see you!" She demanded but the voice replied and said 'If I do that would you run?' the voice sounded as if it was coming from all over. A chill went down her spine as she looked around with eyes wide open. "Why would I? Are you here to hurt me?" She called out with a tremble in her voice. 'I do not wish to hurt you, would you run if I show you who I am?' by now she was eager to see who this unusual voice belongs to so she exits the cabin and said; "Please show me" The wind blew harder sending a signal into her brain to notify her that she was getting cold but she did not care at this time all she wanted was to know who this was. "Please don't leave me here, I am cold and hungry..." before she could finish her sentence a brown bag appeared alongside a tree wrapped up with a ribbon, but the voice did not speak anymore. She looked all around her as she slowly made her way over to the brown paper bag and kneeled down to unwrap it. Her ears caught every sound as she tried to see what was inside while peaking up ever so often. Inside the package, there was freshly made bread, steam left the bread as she broke it up in half and stuffed her mouth. The thought of how it got here made her mouth stop chewing for a bit as she almost forgot about the voice and it struck her... the voice "Good Ma'am? Thank you!" was all she could get out and slowly resumed chewing while looking around waiting for a reply.  'If you wish to see me, continue down this path in front of you. It will lead you to a lake, you will find me there.' the voice said and faded with the wind. She stood up still holding the bread and eating as she started walking in the direction the voice told her to. By the time she was finished eating she reached a lake, just like the voice said there would be but she did not see her. "I am here Ma'am," she said as she slowly made it to the lake. The water sparkling blue made a clear reflection of her face and she saw the dirt on her face. She couldn't let the good lady who gave her food see here like this, she thought as she scooped up some water with her hands and splashed it over her face and again until her face was clean. The sudden sound of water rushing and falling gave her a shock as she looked up to see a figure of a human, made out of the water, rose from the center of the lake. 'Please be not afraid, I bare a message of hope.' It was indeed the voice she recognized from the cabin that lead her here but what was this she saw? She came to her feet and stood firmly on both legs awaiting what comes next.
