Hayden sends a spy disguised as a rogue, Maera, to infiltrate the Silver Moon Pack.She was first visible to me along the river.
She had a thin build. Unclean. Her appearance was pale. She had a pallid face and ripped clothes. I was holding Leo when I saw her. She shook, half-hidden behind a tree, and stood still.
“Who is that?” Reika asked.
Reika turned. She narrowed her eyes. "I have no idea. She seems disoriented.
Kian came over. "What is happening?"
"Someone is watching us," I remarked.
He took a step ahead of me. “Stay here.” I gave a nod and retreated with Leo.
Kian moved like a shadow, swiftly. He came to a halt a few steps away from the woman. "Who are you?” he asked.
She went down on her knees. She said, "Please." "I pose no threat. No pack. I've been running."
