Chapter 2 - Clubbing

The car stopped and a man stepped out of it. He walked closer to the lady that had fallen down due to the shock. Kimberly stood up, dusting her dress and glared at the man in front of her, expecting an apology.

"If you want to die, there's a bridge ahead for you to do that." He said and tried leaving.

What??,,,, How dare he?

"And you need to start wearing glasses to avoid killing anybody." Kimberly said and left immediately, not waiting for further argument.

She needed to leave the environment immediately before any other bad luck befalls her.

She took the water in the glass cup and gulped everything down in a go. She poured another water into it and gulped it down again. She dropped the glass cup on the shelf beside her bed.

She got back few hours ago and didn't even try to do anything else and to couple it all, she was hungry but was too tired and lazy to prepare anything.

She laid on the bed, facing the ceiling and started thinking about the man she had come across earlier. He was so arrogant and heartless. He didn't even apologize for driving so rough that he almost killed her.

Thinking of all these, she remembered how she was harassed by the old looking man that called himself the manager. Geez, she really needed a shower to wash off his dirty touches.

She made to pull off her clothes when her phone started ringing. She checked who the caller was and saw it was no other than her best friend, Nora James. She was her best friend from high school.

"Hello bestiieee." Nora screamed from the other side after Kimberly picked at the second ring. She put the phone away from her ear immediately.

"Hey, do you want to make me deaf?" Kimberly asked and Nora chuckled.

"Of course if I get the chance to." Nora said jokingly and Kimberly scoffed.

"What do you want?"

"I want us to go clubbing today."

"Well, sorry to disappoint you sweetheart, I don't feel like going out today. I've had enough in a day." Kimberly said.

"Pleaaase baby girl" Nora whined

"No"

"Please barbie princess, pleaaaase"

"Okay, okay. What time is it?"

"7:00pm sharp."

"Alright, I'll be at your place before then." Kimberly said and made to hang up.

"Don't bother, I'm close to your place."

"Wha...." Kimberly tried saying but Nora already hung up. She took a deep breath and dropped her phone. She pulled off her dress and entered the restroom. She got into the shower and allowed the water touch every part of her body. She made sure to wash her body thoroughly till she felt his touch would have gone away.

When she finished, she took the towel and tied it round her chest. She came out and wore her undies. Her phone started ringing again and she went to the bed, sat and picked it.

"Hey, I'm at your place already." Nora said.

"Okay, come in"

"You don't need to tell me." Nora said in a song and entered her room. Kimberly smiled and hanged up.

"Why call when you're here?"

"Just felt like disturbing a bit." Nora replied and sat on the bed beside her.

"So, how was your interview? and what do you mean by you've had enough in a day?" Nora said making Kimberly sigh.

"It was really bad."

"Huh? How? What happened? Tell me everything. I want to know." Nora said and made Kimberly face her completely.

"Now start, I'm listening."

"Alright. First of all, the interview turned out so bad. The so called manager had tried to harass me but trust me not to give up without a fight. I made sure to kick his groin so hard that I'm very sure he would need to visit the hospital."

"And that's why you're my best friend." Nora said and clapped her hands making Kimberly chuckle.

"So, what happened next?"

"I ran out immediately and almost got hit by a car."

"Omg! I hope you weren't hurt." Nora said and checked to see if Kimberly had injured in the process.

"No, I wasn't. He was driving so rough and instead of him to apologise, he insulted me and I gave him his own piece of the cake."

"That's good for him. He must be so heartless."

"You can say that again." Kimberly said and rolled her eyes as she remembered what transpired between them.

"Anyways, enough talk for the day. It's time to go clubbing." Nora stood up and whined her waist and Kimberly laughed. What a crazy friend she has.

"Why are you tying a towel by the way? or did I interrupt something?" Nora raised a brow, bringing her ear closer but Kimberly pushed her away slightly.

"What? I'm just trying to know if you have gotten a new boyfriend." Nora said and Kimberly scoffed. Tchhh, not after what her ex boyfriend did to her.

"Don't remind me about the past Nora." Kimberly said and walked past her, going to the wardrobe.

"Wow, this is one hell of a club." Nora shouted because of the loud music, dancing on her chair.

"Yes it is." Kimberly shouted back.

"Hello ladies!" A guy said and sat on the chair beside Nora.

"Hey!" Nora said back and continued to dance.

"I can see you're in the mood for a dance. Care to dance with me?" He said again.

"Sure thing." Nora replied and the both disappeared into the crowd. Kimberly sighed and took a sip of the whiskey inside her cup. She typed on her phone as she danced to the tune of the music playing.

Suddenly, she felt the need to use the restroom. She stood up with her phone and turned to the bartender.

"Please, where can I find the restroom?"

"You will find it upstairs. The ones down here is still under construction."

"Okay. Thank you. But where can I find the staircase?"

"At the corner over there." The bartender said as he pointed to a corner. Kimberly nodded and went that way. She saw the staircase and climbed it. She got to a place where it was boldly written 'VIP SECTION'

She went in and asked from a waitress that was passing by and she gave her the directions.

Kimberly followed the directions and saw a door. She opened the door and saw it was a hallway leading to different restrooms which were opposite to each other.

She tried opening the first restroom on the right but it was locked from the inside meaning someone was inside.

She tried opening the second one but it was locked from the inside also. She decided to go to the last one. She went there and tried opening the door and it opened. She went in, did her business and came out. She tried leaving but was stopped by a sound coming from the restroom opposite the one next to the one she made use of. She went closer and placed her ear on the door to be sure of the sound she heard.

"Yes, right there."

"Yes, yes, yes." She heard again. It was moans from a lady. Feeling kind of disgusted, she tried leaving but then the door opened.....
