Zonish decided to walk back home .
It helped kill the time.
"Mind if I join? "
Rita jumped from behind as Zonish reached the first bend ahead of their school.
She didn't reply. It wasn't like the girl was asking for permission.
" I thought you lived quite far away from the school! "
She said, hoping to start a conversation but Zonish didn't reply.
She kept walking straight. Her head bend. Admiring the pebbles spread on the ground.
" Hmmm, Zonish, is it true that... Ummm... Leo and you are close! "
They were not friends. Rita and Zonish. They hardly talked. It was obvious that she was bugging Zonish for some ulterior motive.
It turned out that she was crushing on Leo for awhile.
Zonish looked at her. Then turned away and kept walking.
