Dressing for dinner, Bridgett took great care in arranging her hair and garments. She wanted to look her best tonight, for tonight was special. It was the first time Marcus was going to dine with her. She’d spent the last two days making special tarts to share with Marcus after dinner. She’d also helped prepare the lamb and used her skills with herbs to season it to perfection. Checking her reflection in the polished glass Moira had given her, she was pleased by what she saw.
