Episode 5

    Anuj came out of the station and called Naina as she called him while he was giving details of Mili to the constable, “what happened, Naina? Is everything okay?”

    “Where are you, Anuj? Don't you know, I can't stay alone in the house, and I don’t like the new maid you sent, she is looking odd to me.” said Naina.

    “Naina...I didn’t send any maid, the new one will come in the evening, ask the lady what she wants,” said Anuj going towards his car.

    “No, Anuj...she is in front of me, her dressing is also weird, you come fast, I don't want to talk to her anything, I am getting goosebumps by looking at her dressing only, and you want me to talk with her,“ she said and disconnected the call.

    Anuj thought for some time and went into the station and went near Vikram and said, “Mr. Singh, if you don’t mind, can you send any constable with me to my house, as Naina called me and said, one lady has entered the house and her dressing is weird.”

    Vikram thought for some time and said, “If you don’t have any problem, I will accompany you,’ and arose from his seat.

    “Mr. Singh, I am not kidding,” Anuj said, thinking that Vikram is not serious.

    "I didn’t get Mr. Saxena? You want me to come with you or not?" Asked Vikram confused.

    Are you really accompanying me? Anuj looked at him suspiciously.

    All three reached Anuj’s house and when they went inside, they saw Naina sitting alone on the couch and was watching something on the phone and laughing loudly.

    Anuj went near her and asked, “Where is that lady Naina?”

    Naina stood up looking at him and asked, "Which lady Anuj? Did you sent anybody here to work?" 

    Naina, you only called me and said, “that one lady is standing in front of you and her dressing is weird.”

    She took her phone and showed him the call history and asked, “can you see your number in my call history of today?”

    Anuj looked at the phone and looked at Naina, who is frustrated with his act and sat on the couch and caught his head.

    Vikram was looking at Naina and observing all her actions.

    Naina came near Vikram and said, “sorry inspector, I think he troubled you again, he is sick, but he doesn't listen to me, saying he is fine, please don’t bother about his complaints, he just needs treatment and I will make sure that he starts his treatment from tomorrow itself.”

    “No problem Mrs. Saxena, it was my duty to check that everything is okay in our city,” said Vikram and asked for some water.

    Naina went inside to bring water and Vikram started to observe the room and saw there were cameras in the hall and showed him to KK and said, I want that CCTV footage, and KK nodded as okay.

    Naina offered them water and they drank the water and Vikram looked at Anuj once and left from there.

    Naina went and sat near Anuj and started to massage his back and said, “it’s okay Anuj, everything will be alright. We will go to doctor tomorrow, I have already taken an appointment.”

    “I am really sorry Naina, I again made you embarrassed in front of the police, I am not a good husband for you, I am trying to become a good husband, but I think I am failing day by day,” he said and went to his room and locked the door.

    KK went to the security person and asked for the CCTV footage of the hall and the security person looked at him confused.

    If you don’t give that to me now, then the Inspector will take you into custody, now decide yourselves said KK, and the security person calmly went inside and brought the copy of the CCTV footage and handed over to him. 

    Vikram came near him and asked, “did somebody visit this house before we came here? I mean any lady?”

    One lady came and said that she wants to meet Naina madam, but when I called the madam, she said, she is not interested in meeting anyone, so I asked that lady to call Anuj sir and the lady left without saying anything.

    How was her dressing?

    Security person thought for some time and said, “I think she wore the brown top and blue pant, I mean salwar suit”

    Vikram thought for some time and asked, “I want all the CCTV footage from the time Anuj entered this house”

    The security person looked at him shocked and said, “Sir, I can’t do that, I will get into trouble.”

    “If you don’t give that, we will throw you into trouble,” said KK from behind.

    “KK, cool down, why are you frightening that poor soul,” said Vikram calming him down.

    The security person went inside and brought the other CD and handed over to them and said, “sir, please spare me, I have a family to take care of.”

    Vikram smiled and assured him that they will not let his name come out and left from there.

    On the way to the station, KK asked, “Sir, what are you going to do with this footage?”

    “Anuj doesn’t have any mental issues, I can feel that, but someone is trying hard to make him one, and I just want to know their motive behind it, for that, I have to know that I am going in the right path,” said Vikram thinking about something.

    “Sir, did you get the message?” asked KK and Vikram came out of his thoughts and looked at him and raised his brow.

    The person who was in charge of our station CCTV cameras was found dead and his dead body was found in the river.

    Vikram looked at him shocked and asked, “why he committed suicide? Any financial problems or family problems?”

    Sir, nobody knows, he didn’t go home yesterday, and he didn’t lift anybody’s call from the time he left the station.

    So, by what time, we will get the postmortem report?

    In two hours, sir.

    Okay, he said and was thinking something when his phone started to ring and he looked at it and hit his forehead.

    What happened, sir? Asked KK looking straight as he was driving.

    I forgot, your madam told me in the morning that our TV is giving trouble and it needs to get repaired and I forgot to call the service person.

    KK started laughing and Vikram dialed the service provider and told him the details and disconnected the call.

    They both reached the station and Vikram went into his cabin and KK asked another constable to make laptop arrangements and went inside to complete his other work.

    After some time, KK came near the laptop and inserted the CD and Vikram looked at it. Vikram saw that Mili came with the chit and threw it in the dustbin. After some time, Anuj came down and he saw the chit and they both were shocked and tried to check the footage before he came down and saw the hall again, but there was no evidence of any chit being in the hall.

    Vikram started smiling and said, “so, I am right here, somebody is trying hard and Naina is also involved in it or she is the one who is doing all this.”

    Vikram looked at KK and asked, “What happened about her history? And where is the postmortem report? Have you appointed someone to follow Naina?”

    “Everything is done Sir, you just relax, you will get all details on time,” said KK and went out of the cabin to make a call.

    After KK went out, Vikram saw how Naina and Anuj made out and the next day, he saw they were fighting again over something and thought, what happened in one night that they fought again? I think first I have to stop Anuj from starting any treatment or maybe he is already on some medicines without his own knowledge, but if he was alone all this time, then who will give him medicines?

    KK came in with the report and handed it over to Vikram and said, “he was murdered, he was strangled and his heart is also decreased in size.”

    Find it out, where was Naina at that time? 

    Okay sir, said KK and left from there.

    Vikram looked at the time of death and on the CCTV footage and started to check for Naina and he found out that they both were not at home and they reached home after one hour of his death.

    Where were they at that time? I don’t think Naina will give the answer nor will she allow Anuj to give answer. I have to protect Anuj first, then only we can move forward in the case. First, I have to get a lot of answers, who is this Naina and who is exactly this Anuj and who are their enemies, and for that, I have to start with Naina’s history.

    Sir, one more problem… said KK coming inside the cabin.

    Now what? Asked Vikram irritated.

    The details Anuj gave about that lady were wrong, informer visited the place and is saying, all big apartments are there and no one knows about Mili.

    Didn’t he give you documentary proof of that lady? Asked Vikram.

    He gave sir, but it is forged one, the photo is different and the name is also different. The card number belongs to an old lady of 60 years.

    Get the call details of Mr. Saxena’s number and I want that to be done in one hour, I want mainly today’s call history and if possible get the recorded message as well.

    Sir, but for that, we have to get permission…

    KK, I know you can do that, use your hacking skills, you have done that before also.

    KK smiled and went out to complete his allotted work and Vikram called someone and said, “arrange one psychiatrist till evening.” and disconnected the call.

    I am sorry Mr. Saxena, but I think I have to kidnap you to save you from the hidden danger, thought Vikram.

    Vikram went out with some other work and came back after two hours and looked at KK, who was waiting for him.

    Sir, these are the details and this is the recording, said KK handing over a Pendrive and one cover.

    Vikram took the cover and went into his cabin and asked, “did you try calling that number?”

    Sir, they are saying the number doesn’t exist.

    “Did you get the details of that number? On whose name they took that number?”

    I got the details, but the sim card was taken by providing the fake details.

    “It means we are again at square 1,” said Vikram and thought for some time and said, “Mr. Saxena got this housemaid through his friend, either he is involved in all this or he is also ignorant.”

    KK, we have to kidnap Mr. Saxena tonight at any cost, ask your men to complete that task and bring him to my house.

    Isn’t it risky to take him to your house, sir?

    I know, but I want to take the chance, do it on time, because I have arranged the psychiatrist also.
