Episode 16

    KK and Vikram were waiting outside the hospital when KK said, “I am feeling pain in the leg, I think I should consult the doctor till Anuj completes his work.”

    Vikram thought for some time and nodded as okay and they both went inside and smiled looking at the receptionist and KK said, “I am injured, I want to consult the doctor.”

    The receptionist looked at him and crooked her eyebrows when KK showed his injury and said, “I got injured yesterday.”

    She smiled and said, “the general physician is on the second floor, ninth room, and gave him the card.”

    Vikram asked, “one person named Anuj came inside some time ago, can you tell me where he went?”

    She checked the book and said, “no person with such a name came inside.”

    KK and Vikram looked at her shocked and said, “he came inside just 10 minutes ago.”

    “No Sir, I am here for the past one hour, no one came except the two ladies who went into room number 5,” said the receptionist and showed them the entry book.

    Both looked at the entry book and Vikram took the phone from his pocket and started dialing Anuj’s number and it said, “out of coverage area.”

    Suddenly KK said, “she is here, we have to go, she won’t do anything to Anuj, we have to protect Naina, let’s go.”

    Vikram looked at the receptionist and she started smiling. Vikram said, “s**t,” and ran towards the car and KK followed him.

    Vikram ignited the car, but KK said, “we can’t use this car, the tires are punctured.”

    Vikram got out of the car and looked for other sources to reach the house and tried to stop the car to take the lift, but no one stopped. He took the phone and tried to book the cab and his phone showed no internet.

    “KK. we are boomed, I am not understanding how to reach the house,” said Vikram putting his hand on his head.

    “Don’t worry, believe in God, and start looking for other options,” said KK and started thinking for other options.

    Vikram started running when one car came and stopped beside him and asked, “do you want a lift?” and Vikram nodded as yes and told him the address and looked behind, but he didn’t find KK. He just got into the car and started to breathe heavily.

    Are you okay? Do you want water?

    “No...I am fine,” said Vikram, and started to dial KK’s number, but he was not able to get the proper signal. Vikram tried for some time and looked at the person driving and asked, “can I use your phone?”

    The person thought for some time and said, “yeah sure, it is in the bag, please look into the bag,” and pointed his finger towards the bag, which was in the back seat.

    “Don’t you think we should not put hands in other’s bags,” asked Vikram and the person started laughing and said, “no, I won’t mind if you take the phone from my bag.”

    Vikram made his seat backward and took the bag and started searching for the phone and he searched for the whole bag, but he didn’t get the phone. He looked at the person and said, “your phone is not in the bag.”

    “Oh, sorry, I might have forgotten it in the office, I will collect it tomorrow,” he said smiling.

    Vikram put the bag back in its place and took his phone and restarted it and looked at his surroundings and said, “I think you are going in the wrong direction.”

    “It is a shortcut,” said the person without turning his head.

KK was standing there and thinking about the options when he saw Vikram started running, he thought, “how can I run with this injured leg and started to walk behind him.”

“Hi, KK, hope your leg is not paining that much,” said one person, and KK turned to look at the person and asked, “do you know me?”

“I don’t know you, but I want to know, who is the person who is using your body to help my handsome,” said the person, and KK looked at him shocked.

“I don’t know who is that person, I think I have to leave,” said KK.

Don’t you think you can’t run with this injured leg?

“I can run,” said KK and started to walk fast, but the person started laughing and KK stopped and saw that he was still standing at the same place where he stood before.

“Whoever you are, I really don’t know anything, I am just helping my senior to solve one case,” said KK and tried to escape the person.

“KK or unknown spirit, I think you need to be with me,” said the person and tried to attack KK, but he escaped the attack and tried to run away from there and in the process of escaping his phone fell and the person smiled looking at him and took the phone in his hand and said, “statue,” to KK and dialed Naina’s number and said, “the car in which we were traveling met with an accident and Anuj is seriously injured and Vikram is also unconscious, I am coming home for you in 10 minutes, be ready,” and disconnected the call.

Naina who was waiting for them and wandering here and there in the room was looking at the phone from time to time when she received a call from KK and she started sweating and sat on the couch and started crying.

Sneha listened to the call, but just shed tears as she was not able to help anybody.

Vikram became busy with his phone and trying hard to get the signal on his phone and after some time he slid the phone in his pocket and saw that they were in the middle of the jungle.

“Where did you bring me? If you don’t know the address, you would have asked me, now, we are stuck in the middle of the jungle and it will take nearly one hour to reach the house,” said Vikram angrily and looked at the person who was smiling looking at the front mirror and suddenly fell on the steering.

Vikram was shocked by the sudden happening in front of him and tried to wake him up, but he didn’t move, Vikram got out of the car and pulled the person out, and laid him on the back seat and ignited the car and drove for nearly 10 minutes, but he was not able to find the highway.

Vikram stopped the car and tried to switch on his phone, but it was of no use. He suddenly heard, “don’t you think you should stop all your efforts,” and turned back to see the person smiling.

“Who are you?” asked Vikram looking at him.

“Do you really want to know, who am I?” asked the other person.

“Yes,” said Vikram looking at him angrily.

“I know that you have a habit of listening to your wife’s stories, will you listen to my story as well?” He asked looking at him.

Vikram hit on the steering hardly and said, “okay, I will listen to your story, but first take me out of this jungle and take me home.”

The person thought for some time and said, “I will take you out of the jungle, but can’t take you to your house,” and started laughing loudly and Vikram turned and saw that they are on the highway.

KK was shocked to listen to what the person told Naina on phone and said, “don’t try to harm her, she is innocent.”

What do you know about her that you said that she is innocent?

“She is Anuj’s wife and she has already suffered a lot,” please leave her, pleaded KK.

You all are just listening to what she said, but no one cared to know if she is real or not.

“Let me go, please leave Anuj and Naina, they are very sweet persons, you are already dead, why you want an alive person to satisfy your ego,” asked KK looking at the person in front of him.

The person started laughing and kept his hand on KK and KK fell on the floor and became unconscious.

Vikram looked at the person and said, “can’t I listen to your story later and go home first or you can tell me the story and while I will be driving home, both will be done at the same time.”

The car started to shake and Vikram looked at him confused and asked, “I agreed to your condition, why are you doing this?”

“Just close your eyes, someone else is waiting for you eagerly,” said the person, and Vikram tried to get out of the car.

The person hit Vikram hard on his head with his bag and Vikram looked at the person and fell on the steering and lost consciousness.
