CHAPTER 5

Over the course of time, something special was happening between Victoria and Alexander. As they often exchanged meaningful glances, they began to find themselves sharing the confined space of the elevator more often. One day, something memorable occurred at the office. Victoria was carrying some files to her desk and accidentally the files dropped on the ground. While Alexander, the serious CEO, who happened to be passing by, surprised everyone by helping her pick them up. Victoria was amazed, and so were the co-workers. It was a moment they wouldn't forget.

Victoria and Alexander continued to grow closer in their professional relationship. Alexander, who used to be quite stern and cold, started to show his warmer side anytime he was with Victoria. Her presence seemed to make him happy, and they spent a lot of time working together for the growth of the company which made him become more interested in her.

Victoria was also changing on her own path. With her under Alexander's guidance, she started gaining her confidence, not only in her job but in herself. He taught her how to be self-assured among her co-workers, Inspiring her that she's doing better than most of them in the company, that she shouldn't listen to any of their critics. He even told her to start coming back to the secret garden, that ever since he saw her that day he has never seen her again. Considering his statement, Victoria agreed to visit him in his secret garden back, so she started going to the garden to see Alexander anytime she was less busy or when she was through for the day at work.

In the garden, amidst the blossoming flowers and quiet surroundings, she felt at ease. Victoria, with her lively spirit, would share stories from her life and after that she would c***k some mild jokes. To her astonishment, the powerful CEO would laugh at her jokes, and his laughter warmed her heart. She began to realize there was a side to Alexander Thornwood that few had ever witnessed, and that side had begun to draw her closer to him. As they spent more time in the garden over the time, Alexander gradually began to reveal his true self to Victoria. This was something he had rarely done to anyone. As he began to open up to her, they both began to find a bond that neither of them had expected to happen.

Gradually He had become fond of her presence, and she had become fond of him. What had started as a professional relationship had blossomed into something much deeper.

One enchanting night in the garden, while Victoria was sharing a funny story about how she burnt her friend's birthday cake at college, Unknown to her, Alexander's heart had reached a breaking point and he found himself staring at her, captivated by her charm. All of a sudden, in an unexpected moment, Alexander kissed Victoria passionately. She was surprised because she never expected it to be so soon. Also happy, she kissed him back. Their beautiful romance had just begun in that beautiful garden.

But little did they know that Cynthia, who never liked Victoria because of the attention she had been receiving lately from Alexander, had been secretly stalking Victoria ever since she had been sneaky to the garden to see Alexander. Cynthia who was also in love with Alexander had been going around telling the other co-workers that Alexander Thornwood was going to be her man. When she saw Victoria and Alexander kissing each other in the garden, her envy and jealousy made her vow to destroy their newly formed hidden relationship.
