Chapter Sixteen
Sam was done when she got home. After unlocking the door and letting them in, she headed upstairs to soak in the tub and hoped she could sort through her thoughts while in there.
She lit two candles, turned on some classical music, and turned off the lights before lying back in the hot water and closing her eyes. After a while, her only concern became not falling asleep in the water, so she got out, feeling much better.
Unfortunately, her peace didn't even last until all the water in the tub drained. She glanced at her phone, a number she didn't recognize was calling. She briefly considered not answering it, concerned that it might be the person tormenting her, but then decided if it was, she had something to say to the crazy person.
