Chapter 3

"After the revelation, did you change your view and respect for me as a person?" Miss Tabitha asked.

"Of course not. I'm not a judgmental person." Floriza answered.

She saw how Miss Tabitha smiled. This is the first time they have a conversation as if they are not a boss or an employee.

"Thank you. Can I ask you a favor?" Miss Tabitha said while putting a blush on when she looked at her.

"Sure. What is it?" Floriza asked.

"Can you be the one to face my date tonight? He keeps on insisting. You know I don't like men who aren't wild." Miss Tabitha answered with a laugh.

"Okay," Floriza answered immediately which surprised her boss.

"Seriously? You agree?" asked Miss Tabitha.

"Do I have a choice? My work is more important." Floriza answered with a laugh.

"Silly. I won't force you if you don't want to, but I need to send him away. He's the one my family wants me to be my boyfriend, but he's not my type. I already bought you clothes and doll shoes." said Miss Tabitha.

Floriza rolled her eyes. Why did she immediately buy a dress for her that she was preparing in asking her a favor if she didn't force her?

Floriza took it and checked on it. And she saw a black sleeveless knee-length dress and black doll shoes that she knew were expensive.

"Did you like it?" asked Miss Tabitha.

"Yes. I wear anything." Floriza answered.

"That's right. You're beautiful and you're very attractive, so even the rags you wear will fit you. And one more thing, get dressed here so you can go straight to your meeting place because he's been calling and asking if I'll continue on the date." said Miss Tabitha while holding his forehead.

"Okay."

And Floriza saw Miss Tabitha standing up and carrying her expensive bag.

"I have to go, Flor. I have another way to go. And this is for you."

Miss Tabitha dropped a pink envelope at her desk. She looked at it and saw money inside.

"What is this? A bribe?" asked Floriza.

Miss Tabitha laughed. She was like the antagonist in the movie, a kind woman who transformed into a wild one. She can say looks could be deceiving, you need to get to know a person well before knowing their true personality.

"Nope. That's an advance gift because what I'm asking you to do is not easy, we're not sure if what you do now will stop him. So I owe you my quiet life from now on because I know that man is very persistent." said Miss Tabitha.

"Okay."

On the other hand, Floriza was happy if earlier she was in trouble because she didn't know where to get any money but now she has more in her hand.

"Thank you so much. Please, lock the door. When you leave later." said Miss Tabitha and left the office after.

Floriza just shook her head as she looked at the paper bags in front of her and the one she was carrying. She put it inside her sling bag. After a few minutes, Floriza stood up and entered the office bathroom. She took off her clothes and turned on the shower. A few minutes later she finished dressing. She slowed her movements because she was confused. She has no experience in the past and even if her boss just ordered her to send the suitor away, she is still uneasy. She didn't know what to do but she strengthened her heart. Carrying her sling bag, she left the office after she locked it.

She’s now outside the building waiting for a taxi to ride. She kept looking at her wristwatch because she had been waiting for several hours but still no one passing by. She thought that the person waiting for her at the restaurant might have left. She didn't want Miss Tabitha to disappoint her, so her neck had been lengthening. It also took her an hour to get up before a taxi stopped in front of her. So she quickly got on board and then ordered the driver to speed up a little.

She reached the restaurant half an hour later. She got out of the taxi after paying. She first fixed herself before entering the restaurant. She didn't know where she was going, she just stood at the side of the door and looked around.

And her eyes landed on a man not far away wearing eyeglasses and always looking outside the restaurant and at his wristwatch. He has a white skin complexion and a pointed nose and he looked attractive in his light blue long-sleeve polo paired with his Cartier watch. And his curly hair looks as if taken from the dark sky. Floriza sees that the man has a foreign race. She wondered if this was the man she would meet tonight. What else is Miss Tabitha looking for that this man doesn't have? If she sees that this is one of the men blessed with a perfect personality. She slowly approached his table.

The man looked at her when she stood in front of him.

"Hi. Are you the one Miss Tabitha was supposed to meet?" Floriza asked.

"Yes, I am. My name is Rogel." said the man.

"My name is Floriza, her assistant," Floriza answered.

"Nice to meet you. Have a seat." Rogel said.

He stood up and took her hand without malice and made her sit in front of him.

"Thank you," Floriza said.

"You're welcome. Thank you also because you came, I didn't look like a fool here waiting for her. This is the first time that someone else came on her behalf, but before, there wasn't anyone. I just got tired of waiting for her but she never came. And she doesn't even call and say she can't come. I know from the beginning I don't have a chance with her, but I'll try my luck with her." Rogel answered, obviously sad.

"I wish I could have come here a long time ago but it took me a while to take a taxi," Floriza said.

"It's okay. At least you came anyway. I won't look like a fool here. Look at the customers around us. They'd been looking at me for a while and waited to see if anyone would come with my date today. Luckily, you came too and they stopped looking and me as they mock me because my date abandoned me." Rogel said laughing.

Floriza just laughed because Rogel's mood has changed from a sad mood turn into a light one. She felt awkward because her appearance seemed to bother Rogel. Even though he was wearing eyeglasses, she could feel the strength of his s*x appeal that Miss Tabitha didn't even see.

She saw a waiter come and give Rogel a menu. Then she started ordering. After the man left, he looked at her.

"Is it okay if we eat first before you leave? I know you're only here as your boss ordered that I should stop pestering her." Rogel said.

"Yes. I won't mind. I won't do anything at home after this. I'd rather go out in the city after work." Floriza answered.

"Thank you. By the way, your dress looks good on you." Rogel said smiling at her.

That made her look at his teeth which were so shiny with whiteness. Floriza felt awkward since this is the first time that a man complimented her.

"Thank you."

Then their food order arrived. The waiter placed it in front of them and arranged it slowly to avoid damage to the glass plate. After the waiter left, Rogel gave her a plate and put food on it. Floriza smiled slightly because she was touched by Rogel's sweet gesture toward her. If she only sees this handsome man all night, she would rather not go home than see that b***h of a woman in the house living like a queen. She didn't come here to feel joy and excitement in his presence, all she wanted to do was to send him away so that he wouldn't keep on pestering Miss Tabitha, but she felt guilty because he had been kind to her that made her feel that not all men were like Miss Tabitha mention earlier in their conversation.
