Episode 1: Love at first sight

"The nightmare last night was horrible. I have been anxious the whole day because of it. I saw his dead face and it was terrifying. This feeling is eating me inside!", Jane thought while walking on the sidewalk of Royal City Bridge staring at the black night sky hidden behind the polluted gray smoke.

She kept checking her phone with anxiety. She kept refreshing the chat history in her messaging app, hoping for Victor's reply. It has been three months since she last saw his smiling face on their last video call . This was making her even more anxious. The pain in her heart was unbearable.

"I just want to listen to his voice, even if it's just for a second. Maybe I am asking too much from him. After all, he is a busy man, but right now I want to be selfish", the sorrow in her eyes soon became tears. Her heart was beating faster than before. She kept gazing at her phone. The last message to her boyfriend, I miss you, which she sent an hour ago, was still unseen, just like the other messages that she had been sending for three months.

"He must be busy at work", she thought to console herself from anxiety.

She started walking towards her car when she saw the spot where she had her first kiss with Victor three months ago.

"That day you were beautiful and too attractive to handle", she thought while remembering the day she met her first love, Victor.

"It was a hot summer's day. The sun was blazing at its peak and it was a perfect day to enjoy the outdoor pool with my sister. I never imagined I would fall in love with you at first sight". Her memories were vivid of the day she first saw Victor.

Three months ago. Last Sunday of July.

The day Jane met Victor, Jane's elder sister, Bella, booked an executive room with a garden view at the five-star hotel named Grand Hotel.

Jane was happy to meet her sister after a long time. She loved the luxurious room and the refreshing green view from the balcony. She was enjoying all the privileges of having a rich sister.

They were chilling at the poolside with a beautiful view and sipping on fresh coconut water when suddenly Jane heard, "Help!... Somebody help! she is drowning!"

Victor jumped into the pool to save the girl from drowning.

"Look! A man is saving that girl!" It was noisy and crowded due to the commotion.

Victor pulled the drowning girl out of danger and gave her first aid. He saved her life. It was heroic and everyone cheered him for his heroic act.

Jane walked towards the crowd in curiosity about the man who helped a person in need and to catch a glimpse of this hero.

Victor was standing right in the middle of a mob surrounded by the people near that area and he was caught in Jane's eye instantly.

Jet-black hair soaked in water, muscular body and gorgeous face, his body was shinning in the blazing sun. He was picture perfect at that moment.

What happened after that she was still unsure. She was in a daze. She couldn't help but stare at him. Then, before she knew it, she was following him. Victor noticed her but didn't mind for a while.

Victor was heading towards the men's locker to change his clothes. As the locker was approaching, Victor's pace decreased. Jane was walking at the same pace and she caught up with him. Victor stopped right in front of the locker room and said, "Are you going to follow me inside?”

Jane was shocked. She couldn't grasp the situation yet and replied in an instant, "May I?"

"Oops", as soon as she met his eyes, Jane suddenly realised that Victor was talking to her.

"I am sorry! I don't know what you mean", she replied to cover up her impromptu response earlier. Her face was blood red with embarrassment.

"I see”

"This is my first time meeting such a bold woman", Victor thought.

For one complete minute they were both looking at each other’s eyes.

Jane was still and kept staring at his light brown eyes.

"Wow, you have got beautiful eyes! ", Jane thought she was thinking loudly in her head, but she didn't know that it was not in her head that she actually spilled those words out of her mouth.

Victor's expression changed, his smile was obviously flirtatious. It was his first time getting such a confession from such a beautiful woman. He was confused as to what to say.

"Thank you", Victor took a step forward towards Jane in an intimidating and sexy way.

Jane couldn't hold back and spilled her thoughts out of her mouth yet again, "wow, so sexy!".

"Haha…, You know you are quite bold for a pretty lady to say such things to a stranger", Victor pulled her in his arms.

Jane was in Victor's arms but she didn't resist. She was completely mesmerised by him.

She had never been courageous in front of a man before, but something got into her at that moment and her body moved on its own. She was wrapped around his muscular arms and his grip was so tight that it was melting her inside. Her feet elevated above the ground and she leaned towards him. She was very close to his face. She was mesmerised and wanted to indulge in it. Suddenly, she closed her eyes expecting a kiss maybe. Her heartbeat was loud enough to be heard by him.

"This moment is so over the top. I want the time to stop right now! His smell is overwhelming and it makes me dizzy", she thought.

"Looks like you are not resisting, are you interested in me?", he said while loosening his grip around her waist.

He grabbed her by her shoulders and gently pushed her away. He leaned towards her face, such that his lips were a few inches away from hers, with a devilish smirk on his face and a spark in his eyes.

Jane snapped back to reality. "I am… a… umm… interested..!?", she replied with a stuttering voice and it was obvious that her cheeks were red as her body temperature rose.

"Would you like to have dinner with me?", Victor asked her out without hesitation.

"It's a date then", Jane accepted without hesitation!
