Chapter 2

**Kevin's POV**

"Wake up, Kev..." a voice, calm and serene whispered to my ear, using the nickname I haven't heard for a long time.

My parents died when I was young and mom used to call me Kev. My uncle had taken me in paid for my school but right after graduation, he asked me to move out and live on my own and for years, I'm doing very well on my own.

"Last night was crazy and I'm hungry...." she says before I felt light pokes on my cheek.

Weird, why do I hear my Abey talking, not meowing?

She usually wakes me up before my alarm rings off because I have work. I may be still dreaming.

"Kev... get up and prepare my breakfast." She whined softly.

Then, my alarm goes off and my eyes shoot open, realizing I wasn't dreaming.

I expected to see Abey looking down on me with whiskers tickling my cheek because she's been waking me up for work ever since I took her home. But now, a beautiful face, rosy cheeks, and dark, bluish orbs are staring down at me.

I gasped as my eyes widened in shock while my head presses hard against the pillow. Her flowing blonde hair then fell on the sides as she looks down at me.

I inhaled deeply before I screamed at her face. She instantly jumped out of shock and moved back quickly, falling off the bed before scampering towards the corner of the room.

The f**k is this woman inside my apartment? How did she get in?

I made sure I lock everything before I slept last night. I double-checked everything.

Jesus Christ!

She's butt naked and she's acting weird. She hid her head inside Abey's bed, Orange, before curling up at the corner.

Abey... Abey?... where's my cat?

There's a woman inside my house and my cat who always wakes me up in the mornings is not in my room. My eyes travel around in search of my beloved feline.

"Abey?" I called out, quickly getting out of the bed. The woman suddenly perked up from being curled down in the corner of the room. It's hard not to notice that milky white skin and long, wavy, blonde hair.

I backed away slowly on my way to the door while keeping my eyes on this woman but not because she's naked.

"Abey?!" I called out loud, hoping my cat is alright so we could both get the hell outta here and run out for help.

I know I shouldn't be afraid. I was much bigger than this woman but, she's acting weird... like why would she hide her head inside cat's bed?

The only answer I could think at the moment is that she's incredibly insane and might be dangerous.

"Kevin?" The woman speaks out, lifting her head from the floor.

And how did she know the nickname? Is she an insane stalker.

"ABEY?!!" I practically yelled very loudly this time, heart-pumping crazily out of fear.

However, this woman responded to my calls. "Kevin! I'm scared!" She cried, standing up at the corner with Orange still covering her head. Her arms stretched out to find her way inside the room as she walks. "Kevin, where are you?!" She cries.

She had a hot, rocking body but... that's not important right this moment.

I gulped at the crazy thought I suddenly had in my head as I observe her.

Abey once got her head stuck in a box and this woman is exactly reacting like her, apart from standing upright on 2 feet and actually speaking words.

Whenever Abey is scared during thunderstorms or a sudden loud noise, she would always scamper to her bed for comfort. And this woman, I might have scared her when I screamed at her face. She immediately hid at my cat's bed.

Also, Abey always wakes me up in the morning and this woman was there when my cat's supposed to wake me up... She even poked my cheek like what Abey used to do.

And now, my cat who always ran to me whenever I call for her is nowhere to be found but this woman responds whenever I call my cat's name out loud.

It's still a dream, isn't it?

"Kevin!! Where are you? I'm really scared!" She cried.

Instead of running, I stayed glued to my door, staring at her form who's looking for me.

"Abey?" I called out again, this time, softly and questioning.

"I'm here!!" She cried out loud.

It can't be her... My cat is this... woman? Human?

I stood frozen at the door while she walks closer to me and when her hand found my chest, she quickly embraced me tightly.

This can't be happening.

I slowly pulled Orange from her head only to see her really crying. She looked young and really pretty but, she can't be my Abey... can she really be? But she's really, really pretty.

She looks up to me as her eyes flutters. Then, her brows furrow before asking, "Your face looks smaller now..."

"Abey?" I asked.

"I'm here already..." She answered before wiping her cheek which was wet with tears where she soon noticed her hands. She then pulled away from me, walking back slowly as she now looks at both her hands, then down to her body, her feet, her hair, touching every part as her face expresses all confusion.

Then, her eyes darted to Orange which I'm still holding and snatched it from me. She quickly runs back to the corner where it was lying before then wearing it over her head again.

I walked slowly to where she's curled down while she whispers all her confusion, "What's happening? Where's my fur? My tail is gone and my breast, there's only two... my soft paws our gone and... and I'm all skin...."

She continues to whisper until I touched her shoulder, "A-abey..."

She perks up again before jumping on me with the tightest hug, making me fall to the floor.

"How did this happen, Kev? Where's my tail... I lost my tail and I'm all skin..." she whines softly, head still stuck inside the cat's bed.

"You're like me..." I answered.

"I'm... I'm a person?" She asked.

I'm baffled and scared but, I can only comfort her at the moment. If she's really my cat then between the two of us, she's the most confused and scared. She a cat just last night and now, she's human. If she's really my Abey then, she must be so frightened and confused.

"I don't know how this happened but... you're human, Abey...." I muttered.

"I'm scared. What should I do? How should I turn back?" She asked.

"We'll figure this out together," I said. It took me a couple of seconds before I decided to embrace her back.

Why in the world did this happen to my cat?
