“So, here you are. All five Frituals in one room,” Alessia said, sweeping into the room.
Taytra smiled at her friends. It really was a miracle that they were all together. She squeezed her sister’s hand, and Shauna smiled.
It was so good to have her back, but Taytra would do anything to take the dark purple bags under her eyes away.
“Shauna, Philippe, how are you doing? Is there anything I can offer you during this time? Barin has told me all that transpired. I can’t imagine. I am so glad we were able to assist in your escape.”
“I’ve definitely been better,” Philippe said.
Shauna punched Philippe’s thigh. “What Philippe means to say, is we are managing. Thank you for helping us and giving us a place to stay while we come to terms with what has happened.”
