Chapter 16 Jamie Jamie had forgotten how bad it was in the cells under the castle. The tower cell, while rank, was manageable. It had been quiet. Quiet to the point where you could go mad listening to your thoughts on repeat. In the dungeon, there was constant noise. Children crying, moans of pain, the footsteps of people pacing the small cells, and prayers to the Goddess. Jamie hadn’t seen Alexis in days; he added the boy to the quiet list of prayers he did.
