True to his word, Eric did a tremendous amount of work helping me pull together my backyard party. He got a lot of the food and supplies needed and did much of the prep work prior to the actual event. I spent most of my time cleaning the house, doing yard work, sweeping the deck, and making sure everything looked presentable for the guests.
The cookout was a success. Almost everyone I invited actually showed up. The temperature was warm, and the sun was shining. In addition to the great weather, everyone seemed to have a great time and loved Eric. He was his usual friendly, charming self. He also wasn’t bad on the grill, taking over for me from time to time to cook burgers, hot dogs, and brats.
