Chapter 2 I was awakened the next morning by the sound of my front doorbell ringing. I looked at the clock beside my bed and saw that it was after seven. I’d slept later than intended, but I’d stayed awake longer than normal last night, thinking about Eric. I wanted to know more about the man who ran onto my porch and kissed me last night, and I hoped he wouldn’t be strong-armed by his brothers into avoiding me now.
