They reached Chicago at 6 AM. Gray sky. Cold wind. The rail yard stretched for miles.
Maya pointed at a blue container. “That's the one. The Breaker is inside.”
“How much time?” Julian asked.
Gabriel closed his eyes. “Five hours and twenty-three minutes until activation.”
“Then we wait.”

Leo and Dara scouted the area. Three guards patrolled the container. Two with dogs.
“Company security,” Leo said. “They don't know what's inside. Just told to protect it.”
“Can we get past them?” Julian asked.
Jenna nodded. “I can phase through the container. Grab the fragment. Phase out.”
“The Breaker destroys metal. Your phasing might not work.”
“Only one way to find out.”
Kira listened to the guards. “They switch shifts at 11 AM. Fifteen minutes of no coverage.”
