Lola POV
The inside of the palace is equally – if not more – impressive than the outside. Filthy rich doesn’t even begin to describe it – this is just all too excessive. The floors are covered in black marble and the walls are all in different shades of marble. There is lavish furniture everywhere, which looks more expensive than a normal person's house, and all of them look like they have never even been sat on once. Artwork which I am sure also has cost a fortune is covering the walls everywhere, and the high ceilings have huge crystal chandeliers hanging from them. Every individual we pass is wearing either a uniform or very expensive formal clothing. Which all of a sudden makes me hyper aware of the worn down, dirty attire I am wearing currently. Not to mention my unwashed and filthy
