My escape plan had failed, I got caught and scolded by him, he left a mark on my arm and didn’t even apologise.

After getting out of the shower I spotted him on the balcony, smoking

(Great, he smokes too.)

I never expected things to go this way, I thought he’d lock me in the room, put guards outside the door and never let me out, I thought they would even bring food to me, but this was way worse was he gonna always sleep on the couch? How long?

(His room was beautiful though, well at least I was no longer a maid.)

My thought was cut by a cough from him

When we sat to have breakfast with him family, everyone looked normal, like they didn’t know I tried to escape last night, but they were surprised to see me eating with them again.

As I was eating, I felt Cindy’s evil eyes on me, since I was sitting next to Chase, she couldn’t just not stare

Suddenly, Lady Lillian spoke, “So, as you all know, after three days, we will hold the donation ceremony in the mansion, hope you all get ready and look in your best, you too Sophia “she politely said to me, I nodded at her.

After breakfast, we all got up, and like expected, Chase didn’t leave my side again, dragging me wherever he goes.

She stepped closer to me, wrapping her hands around my neck

“I know you’re just doing what you think it’s right, but haven’t you noticed, ever since she comes and you’ve been busy with her, we hardly see each other, despite being in the same house, why do you think I moved in here for? she said.

“I didn’t ask you to move in, there’s the door you can leave whenever you want “I said, in a loud tone, bothered.

“Fine, look, I’m sorry, maybe I overstepped, hoe about we meet up tonight at your room, you know …. “She said

(Was this the perfect time to tell her that Sophia is staying in my room too? I didn’t need her causing a scene.

“we’ll talk later “that was the last thing I said before getting into my car and driving away, leaving her standing.

I drove to our warehouse and my men were already there, Todd, Teddy, Theo and few more

We had many works to do concerning the gold transfer to our people in Mexico

Before we went inside, I pulled Sophia to my side to tell her couple of words.

“Look, you’re going to pretend that you are my assistant, do whatever I tell you, with no protest, few people in there know who you really are, you’ve already met them back in the mansion, do you understand? “I told her.

We went inside, and everyone’s eyes were on us, most likely on her, for some reason it bothered me.

I told her to bring me the files that were on one of the closets as I took my seat on the round table.

Todd, teddy, Theo looked at me confused, last time they checked, Sophia becomes a maid, but now she was here, I gave them a sigh, gesturing them not to mention it...

Five hours passed since we started putting our plans to transfer the gold safely through the road without problems.

When we were done, we settled our plan and the date of the mission, I shared couple of words with my men before leaving, then I noticed max going over to Sophia.

I stepped closer trying to hear what they are saying,

After we left the warehouse, I drove to a Mc Donald that was on the road, I was hungry, and I know so was Sophia.

We got in, ordered our meals and sat waiting for them, Sophia looked through the window observing the outside world.

“I never took you for a McDonald type of person “she said, I chuckled and answered “And why is that?

“I thought mafia people don’t blend in “she told me, I looked at her, surprised by what she thinks of me “That’s not true “I told her.

“Maybe, you do blend in, you even kidnap people and ruin their lives “she said and looked down.

I didn’t answer, I actually didn’t know how to answer to that, “You have a sharp tongue for someone whose life is in permanent danger “I finally said.

She lifted her eyes and looked at me, coldly

After lunch we went back home, Sophia walked straightaway to my room, and I stood in my place, not knowing how the hell am I gonna live with her, she’s so stubborn, sharp tonged, and most of all, (beautiful.)

I walked to my room and entered without knocking, she was putting on her shirt, and I got a glimpse of her wounded arm.

“Excuse me? “She said again

I frowned at her and gently grabbed her and rolled up the sleeve of her top, I dipped two of my fingers in the ointment and put it on the bruise, gently.

Her skin was the softest thing I have ever touched, shame on me for causing a bruise on it, she looked at me surprised When I was finished, I said to her, in a low tone
