Eating

1357 Words
After the king left Alice in the room in the morning, the maids assigned to her came to dress her. Their names were Jade and Mira and they were werewolves who worked under the king as servants. They wouldn't have been classified as friendly in her past life but they followed laws and protocols to the bone. Such as as always telling the king if she refused to cooperate when she was supposed to prepare for a special occasion or if she was just making their work difficult for them and did she do that regularly, yes she did. After they readied her bath they assisted in bathing and dressing up. She personally picked a yellow floral patterned dress which had lace on the chest area. Despite the fact that she still had a bandaged wrist, she still looked beautiful. The dress had a relatively low neckline which was square-ish at the chest and exposed a bit of her pale chest and neck. It was beautiful. As she stared at her reflection, the maids asked "would you like your breakfast served in your room or in the dining room my lady? " If she ate here she could relax and avoid the stress and hassle of moving about but she missed the feeling of moving around. She had been cooped in this room since she woke up and it had only been less than a whole day. Sigh, she would just eat in here. Gabriel would prefer her not to move around anyway. " Bring it in here." She had her breakfast alone and in silence in her room with millions of thoughts running in her mind. She was always like this even back in her former life. She was never really idle and was always alert. Life got so hard for her that she changed within a such a short time after living the castle. Those who said life was not a bed of roses definitely knew what they were talking about especially if you were a woman. She thought about the Aclease necklace Max gave her. They had been so in love that they got bloodstones and mixed their blood in each to feel their emotions more intimately. After she left her village or more accurately, after Gabriel took her away from the village to live in the castle, she had been able to feel closer to him when she felt his emotions fluctuate. It wasn't much but it was a way of communication to her. She felt how he felt and he felt how she felt. She had been wearing hers as an amulet attached to a silver chain but later shortened the chain and wore it as a bracelet. She always wore long sleeved dresses with the hope of hiding it from Gabriel Or he would get suspicious of it but she eventually lost it while running in the forest away from the king in one of her failed escape attempts. The problem now was she couldn't remember where it was. Could the physician have removed it when she was unconscious? Possibly. She searched the room for it but couldn't find it. After a long while of searching, she finally gave up. Gabriel wasn't going to be happy if it ended up in his hands so she just hope it didn't. To pass the time, she asked the maids to get her books to read. Something to do with politics which left them a bit puzzled because the lady had always been interested in stories when she felt like reading. why the change? They didn't ask her but just went off to the library to get the books for her. They brought the books and she began to read she felt like she was reading some foreign language. This was harder than she thought! She wanted to be well versed in politics to be able to stand by the king but she couldn't do so at this rate. After four hours of trying to force the incomprehensible words into her head she fell asleep. She was having some of her nightmares again. Running she was running far as she could for her life. It felt so real. of course it did because it was a piece of her memory. She used the soul weapon that extended from her hand to s***h the air to prevent her pursuers from coming any closer. Eventually they got her and pinned her down. They took her to their underground chambers and tried to milk her of more magic essence. She screamed as they sucked the life out of her but then felt a firm but comforting hand on her shoulders, she gasped as she woke up. She woke up and saw Gabriel looking down at her with his hands in her shoulders. " Alice! Alice!. Wake up it's just a dream. " She was still overwhelmed with the fear and she was sweating. Still feeling frightened she held onto Gabriel as she sat up while breathing deeply. " You're crying? " He asked while wiping the tears that had slid down her face. She hugged him which left him stunned but he recovered quick enough and hugged her back while rubbing her back. "It's OK. It's just a dream. You're safe here" He said while trying coax her. She stayed that way for almost and hour after which she relaxed and looked up at him. " Your highn- I mean Gabriel, you're here" She withdrew from the hug and Gabriel let go of her unwillingly. " Yes I am. I missed your company and the taste of you" He said with a mischievous smile on his lips. " How was your day he asked her while fixing her which had turned into a mess. "It was good. Yours? She replied " The usual " He said vaguely. As she looked at the window she found that it was already sunset and getting dark. She had slept for quite a while. Right at that moment, her stomach made a sound that indicated it's need for immediate attention and Gabriel heard it. He must have heard it with his werewolf super hearing ability. " You skipped lunch didn't you? " He chuckled. " Ahhhh, yes I did. I was reading and fell asleep while doing so. " " You need to take care of yourself more or if you want me to personally arrange your meals and feed you I'd be happy to " He said with a grin. She looked away feeling embarrassed. They called a maid to bring in supper and they ate together with Gabriel feeding her and she ate while staring at him. He loved when she did that. Hell he loved whenever she gave him attention. It was like scratching the back of the ears of his wolf, if that was possible. While feeding her he couldn't get his eyes off her cherry red lips while she ate especially after feeding her the grapes. Before he knew it, he leaned in to her face and kissed her red grape flavored lips. She tasted so good. He couldn't ever get enough of her. He let go of the grapes he was holding in his hands and moved his hands to her waist while kissing her. He could taste the food and fruits he had just fed her and that added more to his want to taste her. He pulled her closer and her chest got flattened against his. She felt so soft. He wanted to smell, taste and feel all of her. Using all his self restraint, he pulled back to look at the daze woman in his hands. She looked like she was lost in a trance. After he looked down on the crushed grapes which he had unconsciously dropped on the floor while kissing her he sighed internally as if scolding himself. " Are you satisfied? " He asked her " Huh? " She asked because she was confused on what he was asking about. Following his line of sight she saw the grapes. Oh right. The food. She didn't feel like eating anymore. .
