No matter how many times I tell myself that I should move on… that Madison is gone… that she is already under Austin’s shadow… nothing changes. Nothing.
Every time I close my eyes, the memories come back like they are carved into my bones. The way she used to smile at me, the way she used to worry even when I didn’t deserve it, the way she healed me without a second thought, even when I treated her like she was nothing but a weapon.
