Chapter Sixty Two

CHAPTER SIXTY TWO

Emory's pov

It's finally 5 pm and I quickly tidy my desk before leaving for the day. I get to the reception and Lucy and Tom are still there, busy with work. They get up once they see me and I dismiss them before walking out. I know I look calm on the outside but deep inside me, I'm full of excitement for my first date with Alessandro because I know he would give it all his best for me to love it, I've always trusted him to never disappoint.

I get into my car and I drive off to my condo to prepare for the date. I don't want to be too early and I don't want to be late, so I want to be fully prepared and have a perfect timing set at my preference for the date.

I'm already close to my condo when I get a message from Alessandro

"Hey pretty, how'd your day go? I'll advise you to get ready for the date now, it's going to be so much fun" he says in the text message and I smile to myself while driving, he really knows how to be sweet. I make a mental note to reply to his message once I have my car parked.

Soon I'm at my garage and I park in before I kill the engine and take my phone to reply to Alessandro, "my day went great, and don't you worry… I never disappoint when it comes to getting prepared" I reply and he reads it immediately… The bubbles and butterflies in my belly increase and give me a funny feeling as he begins to type… this man is just too sweet, unlike Gilbert that hardly replied to my texts, I hardly called him because you never can tell if he'll pick up or not.

"I'll be there by 7:40 pm baby, get ready for me" he replies and my stomach clenches as my brain registers another meaning for what he said about me getting ready for him.

Boy, was the man good with his tongue, his finger, and d**k? He's got me daydreaming about all our time together ever since he came to see me in my park and it's been playing and replaying in my head on and on, how much I loved it and how I still want more from him nonstop. He always satisfies me perfectly and I don't think I want it from anyone.

I go into my condo and run up my stairs excitedly to search for what to wear for the date. Once I'm in my room, I search for the perfect dress throughout my closet but come up with nothing. Time is going and I still have no idea what to wear, I haven't taken my shower or even started my makeup. I need to do something about it and the only person that can help during this rush hour is Ruby. I call Ruby Immediately and she picks on the first ring "hey babe" she says on the first line "it's an emergency Ruby, I'm on a freakin date and I'll be leaving around 7 pm but I have no idea what to wear!" I exclaim and I hear her gasp

"I'm on my way sweetie, we'll solve this. Don't you worry, love" she says to calm me down and I nod even though she can't see me.'' Okay, I'll be waiting" I reply and end the call to patiently wait for her even though I know she'll be here in less than twenty minutes.

I hear my doorbell ring just a few minutes later and I smile to myself as I run down the stairs to open the door for Ruby… She's another person that never disappoints me, she's always equal to whatever I throw at her and I admire that about her… always.

I open my door and she's standing before me with two new dresses, she smiles at me and holds up her hands that are clutching the dresses and a shopping bag "ta-da" she says and comes in as I make way for her and the only thing I can do in my speechless state is place my hand over my mouth as I admire the dresses she brought.

"Ruby, they're so beautiful" I gush out as I feel the lovely materials of the dresses, I love them already. I honestly didn't expect her to come up with a solution by buying new dresses for me so quickly, I thought we were both going to go through my closet and chose the nice dress that'll fit me for my date with Alessandro. "There's no time to admire the dresses missy, you should go upstairs and take a shower before I'll be done setting up everything for you," she says and ushers me up the stairs. I giggle in ecstasy as I rush to my bathroom and take my toothbrush and brush, then I turn on the shower and take my bath while also washing my hair.

When I'm done, I step out in my robe and Ruby Is already there. In front of my vanity stand, a hair dryer in her hand while she waits for me. I smile and gingerly sit down in the chair opposite the vanity stand and we both laugh as she takes my hair and dries strand by strand. "I know it's Alessandro You're going on a date with," she tells me and I meet her eyes through the mirror… she's staring at me too "how did you know?" I ask her and she gives me a knowing smile "of course he called me b***h, how could you not tell me that you guys are dating now? I knew something was definitely going to happen between you two and now you're together" she shrieks and bounces excitedly

"I'm so happy for you babe. I'm glad you finally followed your heart and got rid of that prick called Gilbert " she adds and I laugh at her comment and facial expression

"I thought you'd find it weird that I'm dating the man that's supposedly my brother by adoption" I explain to her and she rolls her eyes.

"Who gives a s**t girl? He told me you're going to sever the whole family tie and adoption thingy so you can officially be together and I'm damn happy for you love, you deserve to be happy you know" she tells me and my smile grows wider "I've never regretted having you as I friend Ruby, I love you" I tell her and she holds her chest dramatically while making an awwwn sound "I didn't want to tell you but it's Alessandro that bought those dresses for you. I told him about your closet issue, isn't he a knight in shiny armor?" She tells me and I'm not surprised because it's something I know Alessandro can do. That makes us both smile at each other and by that time, she's already done drying my hair. She starts with my makeup and soon she's done too then she styles my hair and I know I look extremely beautiful… I look like a freakin goddess and I don't need anyone to tell me because I know it myself.

"Thank you so much, Ruby, I'm so pretty" I squeal excitedly and hug her and she holds me back while we bounce up and down in my room. She stops and checks the time and it's almost 7:30 pm "you need to choose a dress babe, it's almost time" she says and rushes downstairs to get the dresses then comes back up with both and lays them on the bed for me to choose from them.

I stare for some time and I still don't know which dress to choose, they're both so beautiful and I know I will take a lot of time in making a choice. I turn to Ruby for assistance and she takes the cue immediately. She stares at the dresses for some time while thinking and then she smiles at points at the red silky dress.

I like her choice too and I decide to wear the dress, I do and it really looks breathtaking on me that Ruby whistles once I step out of my closet in it. "Damn girl, Alessandro's going to want a huge bite once he sees you in that dress baby," she says teasingly and I blush because I know she's right as I stare at the mirror… I look really good in the red dress as it accentuates my curves and hips. I can't wait to see the look on Alessandro's face once he's here to take me for our date.

We wait for a while and soon the doorbell rings, it's Alessandro that's here already. I squeal excitedly and rush down the stairs while Ruby follows after me, both of us excited to see the look on Alessandro's face when he sees me. I open the door and he steps in, he takes in my appearance with wide eyes and I know he loves how I look.

His gaze travels back up to my face and he keeps eye contact with me for a while, something else I can't decipher in his eyes

"You look…." He stops obviously speechless on what to say about how I look "like an angel, right Alex?" Ruby chips in and I smile at him as he smiles back at me "like an angel" he says and comes towards me.

He takes my hands and stares at me again "my God I'm speechless, you look so beautiful that I practically held my breath when I came in" he says and I roll my eyes even though I can't stop blushing

"I know you bought the dresses for me, Alex, you don't have to be so dramatic" I tease

"No that's not it, yes I bought the dress and I probably imagined how you'd look in it but I never expected to see this… you look even better than I imagined. You look perfect" he replies and kisses me on my forehead.

"I swear I'm having second thoughts about this date with you because all I want to do right now is take up to your room and make you scream in ecstasy as I pleasure in all the ways that I can," he tells me and my throat runs dry… this man would make me wet before we're done with the date.

"I'll go on the date first though" I reply and Ruby laughs. We both turn only to see her with a bowl of popcorn, eating and watching us "you both are my movie for now, but when you're gone, I'll turn on the TV" she says and we laugh. I look back at Alex and I can't help but admire how good he always looks when he laughs. His eyes have this youthfulness in them whenever he smiles or laughs and it's handsome and cute at the same time that I just find him hot and adorable at the same time… is that possible or even a thing? He stops laughing and takes my hand, squeezing mine in his hand gently like he doesn't want to let me go from his sight "I want to kiss you so bad right now" he says again and I gently hit on his chest "it'll ruin my lipstick" I tell him and he pouts.

"I know that's why I have been holding myself back" he whines and I giggle at how cute he can be sometimes "yeah, we get it. You guys want each other so bad but you have a date to go to or your reservation will go to waste… damn your chemistry is so strong it makes me sick" Ruby Interrupts from where she's sitting again and Alex gently pulls me to the door "let's go before she kills us" he whispers in my ear and I laugh again as we open the door and leave the building.

We get to the garage and I see a new car "wow! It's so nice!" I exclaim once I see the car and I rush to feel it. It's a sleek black shiny car and damn it feels so good to touch "this is crazy… Alessandro, very soon your garage won't take your cars anymore" I tell him and he smiles as he helps me to the passenger's door and opens it for me, I get in and he closes the door and then joins me from the driver's side.

"Then I'll sell the cars I don't fancy anything" he replies to my earlier statement and I just nod "the car is really good looking though, so beautiful," I tell him and he gives me a funny bow "I appreciate the praise," he says and we both laugh as he turns on the car and reverses out of the garage and drive out towards the entrance to my pack, heading for wherever we're going to.

"So where are we going?" I ask, my curiosity getting the best of me and he shakes his head with his eyes on the road

"You'll see Emory, I don't wanna ruin the surprise," he tells me and I just let it be because I know he won't tell me. He wants me to see so I'll wait and see.
