Chapter Seventy

278 Words
Chapter Seventy Gilbert's POV I sighed for the umpteenth time today as I started up at Emory and Alessandro went all lovey-dovey with themselves. I wouldn't lie for every second of the whole time my eyes had been on them, I felt my heart get tighter I thought I was being deprived of enough air. The room was filled with air conditioners at different locations and in truth, I was developing a seal for the pores on my skin as I continued to stare up at them. "Hey man," Sebastian greeted me as he took his seat next to me. He was the only one I found trustworthy enough to pour my heart into Emory. "I see you are still keeping tabs on her" he added, drawing my glass of white wine closer to him. "I can't help but go back in time, man. Every single time I see her, I can't help but think how she was supposed to be mine until I ruined everything there was between us" "You and I both know there is more to the truth than we both let on. I understand you aren't trying to pursue her any further, but if you ask me, I think she should know the truth—the true story. Your motive for behaving that way" he said. "I don't think anything could actually justify all that I did and how the f**k am I supposed to tell her all these now that she looks so happy and contented?" I asked. "You want me to do it for you?" He asked and I raised a brow questioningly. "Tell me did something happen? Did you hear anything?"
